Decided to try for my first relic weapon – the SMN HW relic. The grind took awhile for me, but I loved the end product, so I decided to go for SB/ShB WHM relic. Getting DR down has been a challenge, but it feels good to explore and get new content down. Can't wait to see the end product of my grind! 🙂

i cant wear my dsr weapons in uwu and ucob because i need relic to change stats of the weapon, thats the only purpose for me
I'm enjoying Bozja immensely, but I find SB relic weapons and their final stages ugly. Actually, for most of them the previous phases look the best.
I've done dragoon zeta, and I'm on Sharpened Anima for my Dark Knight, which I honestly think is the best anima in the line. I will do the lux cronus, for completion, but Moon Sword will always by pick.
I was on Gae bolg Nexus for years as a dragoon ONLY player.

For those who want a TLDR. For each expansion some relics are BEST IN SLOT FOR SOME CLASSES. However The Bis is VERY slight. Your HIGHEST TIER SAVAGE RAID gear WILL be usually on par or BETTER for most jobs.
If you plan to do old ultimates (Ucob, UwU, TEA) it is good to get the latest expansion relic avaliable (shadowbringers relic atm) as you can allocate the relic stats in a way that you get more substats than any other weapon for that synched content.
It is not mandatory by any means but gives a little boost on stats that helps in up to level 80 content.
2:00 its not fucking easier to get a relic then it is to just raid and get the raid gear its like 30 hours for on release relic grinds. it's rough as fuck.
Relic weapons are worth it if u want the glam
I love the relic weapon system, theyre cool weapons anyone can get their hands on but only the most dedicated of people actually have proof of, much like the patient of a savage raid you have to learn how to do them in the most efficient way possible and grind out what you need to make it all happen, all the while trying not to lose your sanity
I doubt they're going to change the formula for relic weapon levels and release times they've kept for the better part of the decade. I've said it before and I'll say it as many times as it takes-
Relics are only BiS when BiS doesn't matter anymore. They are, have been, and always will be, long-term glam projects. The last time they kept pace with raid gear was in ARR and early HW, and it made people feel pushed to do them and kind of undermined the raid gear by being better gear that didn't require any degree of skill.

To be honnest, I rarely put shiny version of relics in glams because I really prefer a sober style, like, my White Mage use the ravel Keeper dress to look a little bit more savage and adventurer look, not the shiny hero (my usual glams are a mix of Ravel Keeper, Paglth'an, some Bozja (not the FFXII, the first you can trade in the southern front) and only for few jobs Neo Ishgardian parts and glove) so the first stage 80 relics, which is just a tree branch with a gem is my favorite so for glams I will not really push them really far because of this (outside the current like I did for my DNC in ShB months before Endwalker release because I wanted to be ready so maxed out relic, with full upgraded Cryptlurker set because I never cleared any Eden Savage
I am really really REALLY excited for the 6.0 relics, this is the first time I have been caught up to patch cycles and I want to grind as many as i can. I currently mostly play tanks but I have a few DPS lvled so i'm looking to get about 7-10 relics done, i really really want another good time ink like Bozja, I love FFXIV and while I do dailies and quest content it's been szince EW launch since I put any major time into it
I wish i could find the discord for Eureka.
Do you have any thoughts on completing Eureka now?
I am so mad at myself for not finishing all of the ShB relics when I had the chance. I got to the point where I had all of the quests active at once and should have just finished all of the weapons I had left…. 💔 Just the thought of trying to finish them now is so discouraging.
