Green Chickens, Greg, Godbert & a new inspector on the scene? How will Hildibrand solve this one!?

A new player experiences the Hildibrand questline in Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn for the very first time. After playing through the base game and completing the FF14 ARR 2.0 main story quest (and having the MSQ break my heart) I decided it was time for a break from the serious pace of the story and try out some of the more light hearted, funny and frankly incredible side story quest content in Final Fantasy’s MMORPG.

Having played MMORPG’s for over 20 years and being a long time World of Warcraft player from vanilla classic up to the latest expansion The War Within, I have seen and played A LOT of different types of quest in games over the years, but nothing at all has ever come close to the Hildibrand questlines in FFXIV.

This is my first time playing through the entire Hildibrand Episode Two questline in FFXIV: A Realm Reborn, from start to finish, live on stream with all my honest and genuine reactions as a sprout, a New Player experiences Hildibrand for the first time!

  2. The scene with Hildy running from his dad is the determining factor in this questline. If you aren't sold on the questline by then, it's probably just not your thing. I'm glad you're enjoying it so much, mate! Can't wait for the next bit! 😀

  5. The Hildibrand quest lines are all amazingly hilarious, and only one Scion has ever got to meet him face-to-face, Urianger from 1.0. Also, if you feel like people are getting in the way of your playing, just ask them to back up a little bit, as that can seem not only rude and disrespectful, but can also be reportable for interfering with gameplay.

  6. A small bit of context:
    The Chimera shown in this quest was the strongest monster in AAR at the time of this quest (Specifically, it is the target of the special fate "Go, Go, Gorgimera" in Northern Thanalan), and Godbert killed it as a blacksmith.

  11. 1:25 There is an option in the in-game settings to hide other players that are around a quest npc and to hide them in a larger range when you are actually interacting with that npc.
    Learned of this setting while doing Dawntrail MSQ when there were liek 50 people on the npcs
