  1. I know we all meme on baldicante, but telling people to just stop and think about things for a day is genuinely great advice in this day and age. Jumping to conclusions the second you see something does nothing but perpetuate reactionary bs

  2. Too late buddy, twitter already forgotten about this. They finished their witch hunting session and moved on already waiting for their next victims. Like always, there will be no responsibility taken too.

  3. something i think people need to realize and scrutinize more in general is that discord screenshots are /extremely/ easy to fake, to such an extent there are programs and websites that can generate them for you. you really do have to look for the number of pixels between messages, crap like the gradient on the background here, etc in order to prove their validity. and even then last i checked you can still even edit the contents of chats via the inspect element feature in most browsers by swapping out the text data with whatever you want. you HAVE to scrutinize the hell out of it if all that's provided are screenshots, and it's just straight up better to include other evidence that doesn't require straight up internet forensics to trust if one can (not always possible, but it helps).
that doesn't, of course, mean you have to be a jackass to that person who gave screens until they're proven true, but it Does mean people who fake this stuff deserve to be dragged to hell and back for doing so, not just for framing someone but for deliberately contributing to making these waters so damn muddy tbfh. people like this Are the problem when it comes to actual victims and whistleblowers needing to be met with suspicion, and as someone who's been in a position of needing to call out someone dangerous online and struggling to get some to understand/believe the danger, i think these people should be smacked with rusty hammers. in minecraft.

  4. I'm not sure how powerful it is, but something I was curious about was if there's a way to see a log of all the past servers you've been a part of on discord, and apparently you can request a log of your discord data and they'll send it to you. So I guess another way you "could" prove it, though it feels really extreme, is to simply have those two people get their Server list from the log, and search for any servers they've both been apart of, and search for any messages from them what align with what was said here.

I think its a massive invasion of privacy to ask either of them to do that just to show they're innocent, more so just saying that if you really need to push for innocence, it feels like they do provide the info you'd need.

  5. Im honored to be a part of this saga in a small way, i had a lovely chat with Zeems after and have decided he’s a cute streamer who is right. Don’t believe everything you see at face value and ask for more evidence!

  6. These comments under your twitter posts are insane.

But let's be honest here to me this is so much projection going on there. People should be really careful to pile on others like that.

If you think or feel a certain way about someone else. If something bothers you so much… think hard if maybe you are that person. And then maybe don't type on the internet.

  7. The level and amount of details they got into finding out this is fake is the same impressive level of autism as when they went hunting for Shia's he will not divide us flag XD

  8. The problem is that younger folks on the internet often miss the skills of critical thinking … My kid comes running with some obviously fake short video and say look it's real …

  9. While those idiots that join these Twitter Witchhunts will never apologize, even if they are completely in the wrong, now that its proven that it was faked what the accused should do is forward the information of those who doxxed their XIV accounts (yes some linked to their FFLOGS sites) to Square, since guess what, this kind of sharing of Character and account details, especially when using third party sites like FFlogs is SUPER agains ToS and will probably end in a well deserved permaban.

  10. I tend to believe those kind of claims online due to mob mentality and personal bias. The way you talked about that whole imgur drama really made me think on the way I handle that stuff. Valuable lesson.

  11. I have been pranked by meatspin, rickroll and other interent pranks, that is why I never trust anything especially if it is screenshots only
screenrecording i would better but only if its fullscreen and not 144p zoomed in.
And thank you Xenos for being one of the content creators who actually use their head etc.

  12. Real or not, the biggest problem to me is how unhinged the FFXIV community is growing to be. You have to be equally as crazy to say this stuff, as you would be to fake it. The new stalking mod makes me feel even more depressed with where the community is going. I don't know if that's getting to be all MMOs but I can remember playing FFXIV from when it first came out and seeing people become more and more unsettling makes me really sad 🙁 I'm thankful enough to have met all the right people and keep them close to me, but stuff like this makes me wanna avoid socializing with potential scary people.

  13. What I don't like is when these types of things get proven as fake the same streamers and people who were all woe is me over these things never apologize for knee jerking and believing it immediately nor do they apologize for shitting on people who ask for more proof or the targets of the lies.

  14. So feminist woman isn’t satisfied with the amount of misogyny in real life to justify her social justice warrior identity so she invented a toxic male echo chamber to virtue signal. 😂

  15. Is this some new viral gate stuff that is going on right now on X or something? All kinds of dramas happen every single day, and false accusations aren't even the worst of it. Why so much attention to this particular one?

  16. God bless detectives. I imagine a lot of us were raised by our parents to not believe everything you see on the internet. And yet so many do see something online once and carry that forever. We really living in that meme saying, “You really think that someone would just go in the internet and lie.”
