What was the experience like when you guys did the Naadam? 0:
Ysa, Hien and Doma pay homage to Final Fantasy 6. There was a Doma city there that was destroyed by the empire of that game… and Hien himself is largely based on the Samurai Swordsman of that game, Cyan. The song that plays for Hien when you meet him is Cyan's theme in the game.

I really enjoyed the Naadam and wish they do more such contests in the future. It was like the Grand Melee we did in Heavensward and loved that too. Very memorable.
This part of SB was so fun
I had trouble with the Naadam the first time I did it. Kept trying to rush ahead and get the spot but kept failing. But I got it in the end.
So, fun fact and something to track for the future, the azim steppe mini-arc of the overall doma arc was written by ishikawa, the mastermind behind the coils of bahamut, the crystal tower, the word of the mother and the warriors of darkness (3.2 and 3.4), shadowbringers (5.X), and soon endwalker (6.X)
Just another step in the road at the time but key to future lore bits
Also, as someone that started as a xaela au ra, this arc was huge for my first Stormblood experience
The writer for the Azim Steppe portion of Stormblood also was the head writer for all of Shadowbringers. Hien is my favorite SB character, hands down.
Probably one of my favorite bits of SB since I play a Xaela Au Ra also the steppe is my favorite area from SB too
It nice seeing your fresh experience it all its gives me nostalgia remembering my time playing these parts
If there is one thing Ill never forget in my time in the Azim Steppe its the story of the two lovers, sun and moon…argh that was so tragic and yet so romantic ♡♡
One of the poor characters you just met gets shit on so bad in the 60/70 Crafter tribe quests, it was almost painful…
When Zenos was talking about "Bahamut's Conqueror" he was referring to the Omega Weapon. Omega was the one who actually managed to capture Bahamut for the Allagans.
Loved it! Sad we didn't get to see your reaction to the Hien and Lyse scene though.

So i consulted with the council of me myself and I. We decided in punishment for being late you will have to post not one not two but 46 videos in one week.
After a long deliberation and a completly fair and mathematical analysis. It was decided that it should be enough to compensate the moral trauma of the wait.

Ysa’s ability to predict what dialogue options she’ll have, or what others say, is uncanny.
I finished stormblood like a hour ago. Beating mogai was satisfying.
Amusingly enough, many people seem to think that Magnai and Sadu are meant for each other. After all, Azim and Nhamaa were warriors before.
Also there were some lines you could have checked during your MSQ progress when talking to Cirina that shows that she has some feelings for Hien.
I believe Magnai is what you would call a “hopeless romantic” Sometimes I feel his tough persona hides his more…sensible wants and needs.
