The FFXIV Glamour system has a real problem and is in desperate need for improvement.
As a long-time MMORPG player, I’ve played a lot of other MMO’s, so wanted to make a video highlighting some of the main issues with the glamour system and the glamour dresser, how the other MMORPGs handle it and what can be done realistically to improve it.
I wanted to share in the video how World of Warcraft, ESO and Guild Wars 2, handle glamour in their transmog, outfit and wardrobe system.
I think there are more issues below the surface with the glamour system and really wanted to share my thoughts, I hope this video is received well as a constructive way forward, rather than pure criticism. And I’d love to hear your thoughts on the system.

Honestly just… uncap the glamour dresser. That's it, that's the solution.
For the Glam Plates, there should be at least enough plates for every job to have 2 unique plates.

Though a disclaimer is never wasted, glam constraints are 100% a common topic, especially among the glam community. I'm not sure what sort of under-the-hood malarkey the devs would have to do, but if they ever have a checklist history of all items you've ever owned (and thus can apply to a plate), it would be welcomed like the second coming of Yoshi-P.
