  1. Removing them is great, they are next to useless anyway, and I've already gone and deleted any belts not attached to a gearset for the sake of it lv. It's an easy item to just straight delete to clear out space without having to worry if it looks good or is useful. I don't see why anyone would still want to keep any belts after 6.0 unless it has a funny name for a meme or something.

  2. Are there really people complaining over belts now? I thought it was fine. No one sees belts, and they only offer a bit of the stats. They are visibly useless. If they were like the old days (And like most MMOs like Star Wars The Old Republic, yes I'm replaying it and its fun) then maybe when they were on your character. Now they are just for stats. People should release you aren't being nerfed. Like Yoshi P mentioned it multiple damn times.

  3. I’m proud to say I had no questions on this subject. 😁 The information we received was, in my opinion, clear and easy to understand. Naturally it will be interesting to see how stats will be affected and how they’ll compensate for less slots for matĂ©ria. So, in short, remove materia, extract materia, trade belts in for seals, place belts in inventory(ies) or desynth them. Thank you Chris! Stay safe. ❀

  4. You likely already know this however, I thought I should let you know that Preach/Mike has put out his next video of FFXIV impressions, it is covering his journey to level 40.

  5. And I Quote:

"I'm talking about all the way to the top, yeah. Unjustifiably in a position that I'd rather not be in. But the cream will rise to the top, ooh yeah. Macho Madness, yeah, has got more to offer than President Jack Tunney thinks that I got, yeah, and let me tell you something right now, cards stacked against the Macho Man Randy Savage in Wrestlemania III, let me say it, yeah, let me say it out loud, and let me point to the President of the World Wrestling Federation, the Macho Man Randy Savage is not happy with your decision, yeah. I am the cream in the World Wrestling Federation and there is no doubt about it, yeah, you Mean Gene Okerlund you know that I'm the cream of the crop!"

  6. Takes a lot of patient to go over a subject whose confusion over is seen by other people as worthy of little else but passing mockery. Lord knows must of us would never bother. Hopefully this heals some of that social media noise where the people with the least info make the boldest claims and generate the largest misinformation cascades.

  7. Honestly, I think it would be a better idea to just remove or at least rethink the whole Soul Crystal bit. It really is not needed, and is there purely for flavor. Instead of requiring you to have one equipped to change your jobs title and what abilities it has available for its level, you could simply tie that particular change to the completion of the job quests that you get the crystals themselves.

This would free up that space that really doesnt do much. Especially for the newer jobs that have those soul crystals purely to be in line with the older jobs that had them. Why do the jobs Heavensward onwards need these crystals if they are not evolving from another job? As far as I'm aware, removing my Red Mage soul crystal doesn't demote me to a gray mage.

I'm not saying to remove them from the game entirely, they'd still be "givin" to the players, and still feature in job cutscenes. And if they really are that important to keep around, why not simply make them Key Items instead? We've got that whole bag slot that never has more than 5 items in it.
