I can't tell the difference between Mike and ike
The lore on Anima is way off – Anima is Seymour's mother who sacrificed herself so Seymour could defeat Sin, until he decided he didn't want to be a Summoner anymore and became a Maester – Absolutely nothing to do with desire for power. It has zero correlation with any ongoing FF14 storyline so it'll be a thing which will be part of the story in EW.

I don't think there's anything more to explore about Zenos i especially dont think we'll have a humanizing moment with him. He's a born psychopath who is obsessed with the one thing he actually can be entertained from which is fighting and Conquest. We already know everything about him there's literally nothing left to bond with him over nothing happened to him that has turned him into who he is he's a mentally ill person who selfishly seeks enjoyment, a thrill chaser who murders and manipulates lives on a large scale in hopes of feeling something. btw if you can relate to that please seek help. He's not supposed to be the next Emet he's supposed to be a badass thrill seeking battle nutcase whos only purpose is to stop the steamroller that is the Warrior of Light and I'm ok with that at this point. if they tried to make Zenos relatable or someone to feel sorry for it'd just feel like a cop out. I definitely do think he'll try to fuse with something and we'll kill him finally and that will be the end of it.

I strongly believe that one important character has to die in this expansion. I will be disappointed if none do. Considering the last time an important character died was in Heavensward, it kind of feels like everything we do has no consequence or risk. If everyone always ends up being alright even after facing the Final Days then the story will carry less and less weight. The player needs to fear what could happen to the scions – the possibility must be on the table to feel the thrill. Otherwise you'll take everything for granted and the stakes go to shit when you always win without losing anything.
at the end will none of all this happen cause its just a theory, A GAME THEORY! with a lot of spoilers.

Look, we are literally told that we will be fighting in the afterlife. The first tier of Pandaemonium is Asphodelos, which is one of the three parts of the Greek afterlife.
We know we will be playing on floating islands, both because we were shown a map and because of the Island Sanctuary stuff. The "good" part of Greek afterlife is Elysium, the Islands of the Heroes.
Emmet-Selch narrates the trailer. As "Hades" he was literally in charge of helping dead Amaurotians find their way to the afterlife. He'll be advising us in some way, to get to the afterlife, where we will probably be trying to talk to the most accomplished Ascian scientist (Lahabrea) about how to save the star.
Zodiark has no chosen, as Zodiark has been essentially dead since Elidibus returned, which allowed Hydaelyn to overpower what was left of him and entomb him on the Moon. The Ascians are only the agents of Zodiark.
We see Venat starting to return from Hydaelyn. If she does, it will mean both Hydaelyn and Zodiark are essentially powerless shells. This ends their long antagonism, but it will, however, restart the End of Days that Zodiark, and later Hydaelyn, held at bay.
I agree with the idea Zenos consuming one of the first Primals. As he said "we will gorge upon their strength"

I agree and came to the same conclusion about Fandaniel. Definitely going to be a lot more to him than people think.
With regards to Thancred's Japanese voice actor… I don't think a lot of people realize this, but the Japanese voice actors take on multiple roles, during the VA interview section in the Fanfest, they brought in the VAs for Urianger, Gra'ha Tia and Emet Selch, but those are just the major roles they play, Gra'ha's VA does Wedge as well for example, or Emet's VA does the pirate person from Limsa and so and and so forth… so when Thancred's VA says what he said, he might be talking about one of the less major characters (not the Scions).

Interesting point actually in regards to Fandaniel, the crystals of the convocation you collect in 5.3 are all perfectly functional, except the first one, it also has the leo constellation on it, the same constellation as Fandaniel from FF12.

a tidbit from the JP side, in the launch trailer the jp version of vandaniel phrased his line " oh zodiark, the God that we created, please listen to our prayers.. please return us" this is the direct translation of what he said. Its so interesting that they didnt use direct translations for the different languages that ffxiv come in, makes putting together different puzzle pieces from the different dialogue alone so fun
i imagined that Anima could be Zenos Reaper avatar…or, since Anima is essentially 2 creatures joined together, Anima could be a twisted rejoining of Hydelyn and Zodiark

oh also also! The part with "Back in the hands of men" is also a reference to FF13 if you have played "Lightning Returns" (dont wanna spoiler to much but thats also kinda the conclusion there)
And this may be theory spitting but what I believe Hydaelyn wants is keep the world as it is atm, sundered souls. Why? Because do we know how the very first calamity came to be? The Ancients basically say "It just happened" they explain what happens before and leading up to the final days but not one really explains how it happened.
Seeing all the conversations you have in Amaurot I believe the finals days happened because of the ancients themselfs with the vast amount of aether and creation magicks that completely went out of hand.
But thats just a theory….!

Killing characters is only cheap if done badly, for the audience to know that the characters are invulnerable is bad too, the end of a story is exactly where you should be killing some off.
Winning wihout sacrafice is a cheap victory indeed, and good characters are the ONLY valuable thing a story can really have, all other "sacrafices" are meaningless.
2:50 i believe that the scions will kinda dissolve and characters will take their own roles. Alphinaud might remain at sharlayan, for example. Lyse is pretty much gone since stormblood, or at least she's not involved in scion activity otuside of the ala mighan war. Yshtola might actually be a new matoya, thancred.. well who knows.
