  2. Certain attacks, like Diamond Rain, Limit Cut, and meteors only count the number of players currently alive, but that's only before they start casting. (I.E. If 7 people are currently alive before meteors spawn, only 7 meteors will spawn.)

  3. Hey! Just started trying this out and I was wondering: How did you get the waymarks on the opposite platform? I can't seem to do it before the platform is there and you can't do it in combat.:o

  4. God this fight is so disappointing. Like imagine following up on these huge dramatic cutscene-having phase transitions, where you get blindsided by rematches with fucking Nael and Gaius, with inexplicably turning into fucking Ifrit, *and then going back to normal when you're done*. Fucking IFRIT, who, let's be clear, I'm pretty sure fuels Ul'dah's economy because he's such a weak primal they probably farm his parts like he's cattle.

  5. I have never done an extreme raid before except when solo unsynced in Realm Reborn raids and Heavensward raids. I kind of want to try my hand at an extreme raid the way it is meant to be played. I'm just afraid of being with a group of people that will get pissed off at me for missing mechanics when I'm just trying to learn. That's what is stopping me from doing any extreme or savage raids.

  7. The best dungeon/raid guide to follow! Thank you for all the videos that have helped me, especially with tanking, get through the majority of the dungeons and raids in the game. You are amazing!! Thanks for all you do!!

  8. tried to prog this twice already, flood ray is definitely the main killer. quick tip: you cant wait for the swap, after you or your number partner got blasted you have to Move asap. dallying will get you murdered. EDIT: also!!! for caster mains like me, diamond rain can be addled. help your healers out!

  9. Something real important about flood ray that I've seen a couple of non melees mess up: you want to be inside the inner corner when you're taking your ray, basically in line with your number. If you're in the middle of the column or farther, you're going to cleave the center of platform and kill everyone waiting there.

  10. Thanks for the nice clear video. I like how you took the time to explain some of the trickier mechanics with illustrations. They helped me to know what to look for.

  11. Thanks for all the guides over the years! I quit the game today after 7 years… I couldn't stand the community anymore, everything seems to revolve around lewd degenerate meme stuff in the game. I tried staying away from it, but at this point that means playing alone, and that's no fun. What triggered this was the FC invite I received today… FC house was called traphouse and the welcome message was cum inside. What happened to the kind and wholesome community the game used to have? 🙁

  12. You didn't mention the final mechanic. The meteor circles. Usual practice seems to be – you go to the position assigned to you by the macro you happen to be using. E.g: Left Platform Group's tank takes the top most meteor on the left platform, The Right Platform' Group's healer takes bottom most on the right platform.

  13. Is there a reason we must face the Diamond Shrapnel (The following beam attack) towards the other platform and not outwards?
If we faced them outwards won't that give us plenty of time to position and soak the towers?
