  1. 22:16 in regards to the obsoletion of gear in FF, you will replace your gear and weapon most likely at end game at least twice. The difference is that it's not a sinkhole effect like it is in WoW…like with their shitty legendaries in Systemlands. Relics, while being pretty good in their respective expansion, are really only used as glamour later on. Plus the true end game is fashion so..cool weapons equate to that.

Edit: Uhh no, we're also definitely in a game drought where quality is concerned. Quantity doesn't mean dick if every dresser you make breaks when you set a hair pin on it.

  2. The difference between teh two games is. No one has friends going "man you gotta try WoW. Its so fun." Your friends who play treat it like scheduled mandatory gaming. While your FF friends are so excited to get you to share in their fun and join.

  3. Besides old relic weapons being mostly for glamour, the newest relic weapons will last a few dungeons into the next expansion. Current poetic gear is some of the best gear for level 50/60/70, and I managed to go from level 70 to level 77 without needing to change my gear for Shadowbringers, so I assume if you grind your Shadowbringer relic and get an end game set, it won't become useless the very moment you hit the first mission of the expansion, but it'll probably last to around halfway the MSQs of the expansion.
So yeah, even if you've grinded the crap out of your weapons but you didn't raid, you'll still be able to get some good use out of them after the expansion lands.

  4. They're having a very privileged, streamer expirience. I started FF and had 0 interaction with players, there's no chat and I'm having a hard time adjusting to the game, level 16. I feel that people in comments and on streams are mega overhyping the game and its community. Hope I turn out to be wrong

  5. Blizzard games just aren't a large part of Activation's income – they are sucking the life out of it for profit, now that most if not all of the old leadership is gone for "reasons" – its now being taken over and consumed by activation leaders (The circle is complete – Execute Order 66!) but at least that new guy does 20's and plays the game. Don't let "activision" milk you and just don't buy the P2W WOW token.

  6. I WISH FF14 would just scale you down in a dungeon instead of pulling abilities. I get there has to be some form of balance but nothing feels worse than getting a few new abilities, learning them and then queuing up for the daily roulette with some friends and running sastasha or copperbell when you are level 50 lol. I haven’t experienced level 80 yet so I’m assuming that’s even worse

  7. Man, I loved playing fire mage in Legion. It was just crazy fun, and closer to the end of the expansion, you would just delete the entire battlefield in a few secs while running around like a madman.
