5.3!!! elidibus!!! exarch!!!! AHHHHGGGGHHH. this is my favorite patch to date. the writing, the music, the trial…everything was just perfect to me. so many quotes from this patch that I think of and get teary eyed at :')

Ah, Xenos, our resident combat-sexual.
I still say its a crime that last lena and exarch cutscene was voiced. Its the last time they get to tall to each other and they don't get to voice act those lines as if the VAs wouldnt both crush it. Ah, it hurts
FFXIV's story, and voice actors, is so good that sometimes it hurts you so bad. That's how you know you're experiencing a piece of art.

G'raha Tia is one of the best written characters in video game history.
It doesn't matter how many times I watch this patch, it always gets me. It was just perfect. There is no question mark. 5.3 was the BEST patch.
A nice little touch is that the ancient voice you hear before the trial is (or at least, i'm 95% sure is) Emet's JP VA.
Seat of Sacrifice was the first time I saw a tank LB3 in a fight. The sight of the Paladin's wall coming up just in time for him to crash in with the LB4 is seared into my memory as one of the best moments I've experienced in an MMO fight.
