  1. My theory is that the new stories will be trying to introduce new major characters each with their own heroic journey with a goal of setting up future team-ups. G'raha being the legacy hero and Zero the first of the new generation. Other world saving heroes who can keep up with the WoL in the battles still to come. If Arcadion is an arena with the worlds greatest fighters that obviously hints there will be a greatest champion and making it the WoL would be a waste.

  2. The arena is the building with the fans. Meaning, like an overclocked CPU, there's lots going on. My guess is that it not the typical boss fight. Its a real test against trash mobs. Maybe swarms of them.

  3. I'm getting the feeling that they are going for an "omega" type of "tournament" route. Where Omega was trying to determine the theory of the strongest being, where this seems like a "futuristic colosseum" for entertainment purposes.

I'd like to see who built this place. I don't think it's the allagans, due to the differences in the architecture. With how Endwalker progressed, it could also be an "outsider" settling on this planet. Curious to see where this story will go.

  4. My guess is that the Arcadion itself doesn't have real importance but that it's a symptom of societal rot. Like the Allagan empire when it got to the point where everyone's needs were met, you started getting people like Amon turning people into monsters for rich peoples' amusement.

  5. Good to see you, Quazi! I really hope there's going to be some cool and unexpected stuff going on, not only just in terms of story, but also game mechanics. I'm ready for something fresh!

  6. An interesting localization difference to point out. In the German version the text is mostly identical but one part differs. Specifically the part of "fist against fist, magick against magick, …" reads "Faust auf Faust, Zauber auf Zauber und Seele auf Seele" which translates to "fist against fist, magick against magick and soul against soul".
I feel this is interesting, as the leaks from some of the ingame showcase of Solution 9 already confirmed that there are links to "soul transfers" in solution 9 from signs!

Wild theory but i believe Solution 9 will have ties to Garlean history. A lot of Garlean history seems to be "greek/roman" inspired (specifically terms & names). The same goes for the term Arcadian aswell as now having the confirmation that this is essentially some form of "Gladiatorial combat" show where people are super invested in battles and such. It might sound farfetched, but feel free to read up on the Garlean history specifically about Corvus (the ancestral home of the garleans).

  7. We technically still have ascians but rest are sundered versions of themselves. I don't know if they are in cahoots with baddies or they could be the new people to save.

  8. After the spectacle of the central tower, my eye was drawn immediately to the red glyph hanging in air to the left of it. It resembles an Ascian mark, but in comparing it to the ones we know, it doesn't cleanly match. It sort of looks like part of Loghrif, but that would mean a connection to Gaia. Not sure they'll involve her. It would make sense to be connected to Nabriales, since he's "martial champion and refiner of technique," but we dealt with him early on, and the mark doesn't resemble his mask. Or it could be a red herring! /shrug

  9. I think the Arcadion is just like a E-sports tournament used purely for the enterteinament of the people of Solution 9. I think the name is a reference to Arcades and not Arcadia which would explain why it looks like GPUs, its all just a big game.

  10. I'm ready for the music, I can tell you that much! Solution 9 and Arcadion really makes me hope they bring in Cosmograph as a guest composer. That would absolutely make my year!

  11. Reminds me of Academia from XIII-2. But since the game is meant to have elements of FF9 I would say we should expect the other worlds that were mentioned by Meition to play some kind of part. Garland and Zidane were from Terra, Zidane uses similar weapons to the viper class, and one of his weapons I think was the viper. I would say the siphoning of souls will somehow be part of the story line as well as the artificially created life forms, bearing in mind their knowledge of the white magicite, this could lead to a very interesting story about personhood and what it means to be alive….a la Vivi πŸ™‚ And since everyone's done the manderville quests with Vivi and AI is everywhere now, I dunno seems like it's socially relevant and lore relevant. Oh and the destruction of Terra and Gaia being the savior might correlate to the Ascians in some way.
