Game Description:
FFBE WoTV is a spiritual successor to the original Final Fantasy Tactics. It is a tactical RPG that follows Mont, the protagonist, as he tries to navigate the complicated life of a prince from a kingdom at war.
PVP: PVP in WoTV is both live and automated. Live PVP is run through friendly matches and community tournaments. Auto PVP is the bulk of the game and features an arena with rankings and rewards, as well as a Guild vs. Guild system that is a fun experience every day!
PVE: PVE can be played on either auto or manual and has many different types. The story mode is long and engaging. Raids drop about once a month for a real challenging boss fight. And other events spawn on a weekly basis offering new loot and challenges.
Community: The best thing about this game is the amazing community. Whether it is the reddit community or the many discords the community in WoTV is the best!

Red Mage sub does give him access to Resistance break for SPR down though, so it's a good option if his allies are Mag-based. ๐

They won't make unit banners for the final fantasy 14 characters. The only way to "pull" for Thancred with Viz, is if he's in a pity exchange shop for the tokens you get pulling for the cards.

XIV player here, some of these skills are kinda hilarious. Red Mage? … on a guy who canonically lost the ability to manipulate magic??? ๐๐๐ Not only is it bad for WotV, it's terrible for lore. Nice to see him get a buff nevertheless. Gonna max him out, of course!

The Fire VC could be good for rainbow comp as a sub VC for atk%, paired with ifrit it 75% total for party.

I heard Thancred was a good unit when he first came out. They really took him to the next level Aurinj, I still glad he will be free unit. You plan to get the VC Auronj, I never got em sadly

never played FFXIV but seems like thancred is somewhat modeled after Squall from FFVIII… his sword…blasting zone skill… wonder what's the story there
On the character side I'm still thinking holding out is gonna be my plan. I would actually consider upgrading Yshtola because a nice MR fire unit could help me with selection quest but the bottleneck is awakening materials, which if I get a bunch of fire ones I would wanna use for Terra, not an MR unit. But also I suppose upgrading her could give me better farming options for awakening materials for all future fire units by completing the selection quest as far as I can.
For vision cards, while none look particularly phenomenal upgrading more VC at this point can always be good just due to sub slots coming soon

Ty for the vid. Im for sure getting them to at least 99, mainly cause im a FF14 fanboy lol. Yshtola will be OP for fire selection quest as well, I'm sure. The endwalker VC almost feels like a must have with the current light meta….. which wont go away anytime soon

Edit: Yshtola may be a good cost restricted pvp unit. Especially if you run up against someone like Fryevia…

I'll probably snag the VC's and slow build Thancred. I've got WoL, Elena, Yuna, Englegert, and Cecil at 120. I don't think I'm hurting for another light unit…I also have Ramza waiting in the wings. I wish Tactics would get their EX's soon.
Aren't Yshtola's shards purchasable for gill? Might as well 99 her but I don't think she is very good until she is 120. Even then HP is still kinda low.

I have 300+ FFXIV mindspheres already in the bank since I used my leftover tickets only after EX was implemented so Thancred will be an easy max for me. He's my boi so I might consider getting the new VC as it might be the BiS for him.
PS: Shadowbringers card was not for free. I wish it was tho.
I'm going to take Thancred as far as I can with more-or-less-free shards, but I'll be focusing on Locke. OK, I'm convinced that Thancred is going to be a good unit with his EX jobs (after nearly two years of seriously sucking); the problem is that he's still not going to be as good as Locke, and there's a limit to how many light slash units I need to max.
