Responding to “as a tank stay in your healer’s line of sight so that the healer can heal you”:
As a healer you should be basically on top of your tank during trash pulls. To keep that line of sight, sure, but Scholars should be actively casting Art of War constantly while the tank is pulling, and White Mages may need to Swiftcast Holy to prevent a bad situation if things go a little south during the pull. Furthermore, White Mages need to be in proper position to immediately start stun locking enemies when the tank stops the pull. AST can immediately apply that shield around themselves when the tank stops the pull.
If you’re a healer *stay on top of your tank*!!! Feel free to move out of the danger zone when the tank stops, but until that moment just run along with them
Nice video ! I love your new video idea can't wait for your tank anxiety video to launch !! Your glasses look cute btw !
Also don't be afraid to use that healing potion when things get busy. I've actually found those AOE attacks make a big difference. Once I got those it made a huge help.
Pop them like they’re pills??
Aww. I was not expecting to see my comment up here. Good video though! Lots of solid advice. I'm going to main Paladin for Endwalker… I feel it is my weakest role, but knowing things from the other jobs and managing to cap all the tanks, I'm sure I'll be okay. Remembering my mitigation and where to hold a boss are probably the things I need to work on most, but I'm getting much better at recognizing tank busters and raids wide damage.
I think my comment failed to post, but these are good tips!
loved the tank video! I actually got a bit of advice from it with arms reach. I always forget that skill LOLOL!!! Also…..
The icons with the red dots for aggro or whatever. I legit never had an idea that’s what it was for. I just tabbed through enemies to see if anyone was not targeting me oof
My biggest problem as a brand new tank was DPS (and the healer once!) running ahead to fetch mobs because I was pulling small and not moving fast enough for them, despite my being up front about being so new. :/ Really messed with my confidence and kinda turned me off the job.
