ESO has an Expac literally releasing next month. They are making the loot crate items earnable in game. They are adding companions, a new zone, a new raid (trial), and everything else that comes with an expansion. You both may not be too keen on ESO community, but from what I understand it is currently in the top 5 population wise of MMo's. The game has improved leaps and bounds over the last year.
It looks interesting, I might play it as a side mmorpg
I did the pre-order as well. Only thing I have a bad feeling about is the experience I had in Revelations online and its move to NA half translated text and ( some quest text in English, some In (Korean) but I have been intrigued about this game for a few years so I said get the mid pre order and just take the chance.
Genshin Impact mae back its budget including the marketing budget within 2 weeks of launch. They made money, trust me.

The one reason I'm not touching Swords of Legends Online is that it's published by GameForge. As interesting as the game might be, every game they touch is poisoned by them.

Launches the same time ESO launches their yearly expansion and it’s made by gameforge so its big red flag.
I would stay away from this big time. None of this is a wow omg this is good and it looks like the same money grab in the China fantasy genre it's like I played this 10 years ago and hated myself for being an idiot. Because you begin to learn what p2w is. My verdict is don't buy or definitely don't preorder I would wait months before jumping into this. By then their true colors will show and I guarantee it's going to be a p2w. I'm sure some already know because they played pay 2 win before and Gameforge is a hell no.
My prediction: the game launches with this buy to play model, people are bored with their current mmorpg and gamble $40 for something new to play for a few months while in quarantine or whatever. The publishers can't keep the servers up with money from the cosmetic store so the cash shop gets new items to buy, people get 😡 and the game slowly dwindles and they go back to their main mmorpg for new content releases or a different mmorpg later in the year. This game may not have longevity especially with a pandemic going around but I'll pay $40 for a few months of entertainment value, explore a new world and have fun for a bit
Honestly? Even though it's Gameforge, I pre-ordered it after watching various videos of it and the works of the item shop. This is Gameforge's LAST CHANCE to redeem itself. If they somehow make it pay 2 win even though the original game is not it, then they should be slandered until everyone in the world knows of their folly.
As someone who started FF14 in Shb, I still have lots of content to do, but I also want to play SoEO xD
Lost ark made me get this game. After the amount of bs in lost arks packages I just went straight to this game.
SOLO pretty generic, but still fun and a good pass time until a GOOD mmo is released. Big pro is plenty of content, but still pretty dry. Pvp is decent too. If youre lookin for a wow killer, or even a ff14 killer, this is not the one though.

I wish this game to be succesful as i love xian/wuxia genre. Also as ff14 player i like to know the comparison. To summarize; brian shared that this game has 5 man dungeons. 6 classes. Controller support. Will have content that trailing the chinese version. I might miss more info from this video, but…
I would like to know these; how many hours of story we will get immersed to until current endgame 20/50/100 hour? Was the story concluded partially like arr 2.0
Has brian reach endgame yet? Hows the story? Meh? Quite good? Are we the center of the story or part of the story?

Does boss battle has mechanics? As current dungeon in solo is only 5 right now. I dont expect much more than the first 5 dungeon of ff14.
Is the dungeon sync? Im afraid it will create toxicity if other player looking at other playet gears and deemed them as unqualified.
And so many questions that i have more….
as someone who has been playing FFXIV since ARR, SOLO is a good break from the never ending cycle of FFXIV. Get to BiS, next crafted set comes out and your BiS set becomes trash, rinse and repeat. Playing SOLO until endwalkers comes out, still love FFXIV, but its gets stale after a while. By no means is SOLO a perfect game or even close to FFXIV, but its good enough to distract me and my friends for now ☺️
Ok. The game is ok. It's not good enough for sub base. But if they went sub after I payed $40 I will be mad bashing China and there ok but really dumb game. I wouldn't pay a sub after $40 fee. Understand the game is ok and I suggest waiting till steam sales to buy.
Ppl might scare of this game because of CCP and bad port company, Gameforge I mean.
