I haven’t done much raiding in FFXIV but in WoW sometimes I’ll unmute myself on the discord just to say “We got this”. Seems to diffuse the situation lol
I know someone whose static has a rule 'no bullying yourself, if you see you did something wrong think about how to do better, not dwell on it'. Which I get. I get so in my head when I make a mistake, even in casual content, that I can spiral. So I'm trying to learn to be more positive.
Once had two people fighting in a variant dungeon. Try to say positive stuff. Like we can do this! One more try! This is the one! When I got out, I was standing right in front of the other person who was trying to stay calm in all. Didn't know them just happen to be right place right time. Felt good when he thanked me for staying cool. Never know when the positive vibes come around
Raiding is such a bizarre concept to me in ff14 because I've played the game 100% solo never made any friends joined any fcs or the ones I did I just left because it was like a big clique. I've spent a total of zero time doing anything community based besides dailys and msq. I played games like destiny where I had ungodly hours in raid groups and discord party finders thousands of completions but ff14 is just such a bizarre game to me socially.
