Splendorous DoH Tools Quick Guide – FFXIV 6.35 (ALC)

Hello everybody! I’m very excited to finally be making these tools. This patch so far has some pretty great looking tools that I’ve seen, and once I have them all created I will make a video showcasing them.

Hello everybody! Today is the day!

With the release of Splendourous Tools in patch 6.35 today we can finally see what
exactly is needed to make them. This video will have very minimal cutscenes and story,
this will be just for a quick guide to getting started making your new tool.

I might make a separate video that includes the cutscenes later.

First off, you’ll want to head to Nordvrant and talk with Chora-Zoi to start the quest
“An Original Improvement”.

You’ll learn that Grenoldt is finally making his way back to civilization after
spending some time at the bottom of the ocean honing his craft. He’s looking for
some new inspiration and is wanting to take on an apprentice to teach his craft too.

After some palpable tension between him and Mowen you be set off on the quest to create
some new, top-of-the-line tools with all our new companions.

You’ll be given the first tool for free, so make sure you choose wisely on which one
you want to make first. Be on that Job and then open the coffer.

*Unlike the last Relic Tools, additional tools will cost 1500 Crafter or Gatherer White
Scrips* This caught me a bit off-guard, so I’ll have to make some additional
collectables for my future tools.

As with the Skysteel tools, we’re going to have to make some relatively difficult
Colletables to turn in to Quinnana to get the materials we actually need to complete
the quest.

The materials needed for these crafts each require an item that cost us 50 White
Crafting Scrips. Which is double what we needed for the Skysteel Tools, so I hope you were
extra prepared.

For this first step, I need to create 20 of the Connoisseur’s Cosmetic Box
while hitting the collectable breakpoint of 1100 to get me the max reward.

For ALC relic tool I need Select Hoptrap Leaves, and Petalouda Scales.
I bought my Leaves, teleported to Elpis to find I had no Bicolor Gems, and
bought the Petalouda Scales off the market.

Remember, you *MUST* use the quest tool for these crafts! Keep that in mind when
looking at your stats.

I started crafting up all my Collectables, and because it was early I did not use a
very good Macro setup.

After tinkering around for a bit and checking out other’s recommendations this is
what I believe the best Macro is for the first step now.
I will put an easy copy/paste for this and the next step in the discription for you.

Turn them all into the vendor, getting your 60 items you need for your quest.
Remove your tool, and turn in the quest to Chora-Zoi and she will craft up your
new Augmented Splenourous Tool.

Now it’s time for Step 2!

This one will take a bit more time, but will give you the first Relic Rarity Tool
in our quest!

Talk to Chora-Zoi and start An Adaptive Tool!

Go over to Quinnana again and find which Collectable you need to make now.

For these ones, they will have 2 required pre-crafting items as well as the 50
Crafting Scrip item from before.

You will have 2 pre-crafted items to make, I *highly* recommend crafting these as
high-quality so that you can hit max collectablity for the next craft and get higher
tier reward instead to save yourself all the materials.

Gather the materials you need for the pre-craft.
Craft them HQ, my macro is in the description for this as well!

I personally was a couple stats shy, including CP, so I used a piece of food to
supplement my stats.

If you are having trouble with making the items, feel free to leave a comment and let
me know your stats and I will do my best to make a macro that might be able to better
fit your needs.

Once you’ve crafted them all, turn all the items in, remove your tool, and receieve
your Relic Upgrade!

Congratulations, you’ve completed the steps for this patches tool! Time to grind out
the rest of them while we wait for the next patch to give us additional upgrades.

The stats on the tools are the same as the HQ crafted ones, except they have GP and
no melding slots.

The unique buff on them for the quality is very interesting. I will have to see them
in action to figure out if it’s worth using them, but at the very least they are
cool skins that you can use on your crafter!
