  1. you have all skills in pvp regardless of your level in pve, so have blue mage have all his skills for pvp already as well. And since BLU has a LOT of skills, maybe omit some of them or mix, take the best ones and use combos like the other jobs. Like mighty guard is a skill already shared by all jobs so it doesnt need to be there as a specific skill for it… things like that

  2. Given that BLU as PvP would have fixed skills… yha, give them a quest that requires them to have the skills that they'd have in PvP, and when you have it, it unlocks. If they change what BLU has, change the quest.

  3. Blue should be a full job and be in pve and pvp or devs should give us a proper 4th caster to bridge the DPS/utility gap between smn/rdm and BLM. Casters this expac are horribly balanced bc there isn't a mid way caster. You have the support DPS: rdm and the pure caster: BLM. Smn used to be that in between but with the rework it doesn't even have a category, it's not better than rdm for support and it does the same DPS as a rdm. Blu could be that in between.

  4. Blue could be fun in pvp only if they have it assigned specific spells to use. As soon as you allow customization it becomes way to OP. As for pve content I think it should be allowed to do anything with blue mages party themselves. Change the rewards/title you can earn that way. My biggest want for blue is honestly the ability to take it into deep dungeons!

  5. BLU in PvP wouldn't be very difficult to implement, nor any more powerful than the other casters. Put it in.
BLU in PvE would only be viable among the other jobs IF they made requirements on the number of spells known to participate. Even then, you run the risk of getting a BLU that isn't full kit, whereas every other job you know they have all their kit up to that level. In the lowest content, BLU will be OP, in higher content, they'd be powerful full kit. Did a run in LotA as BLU when 50 was it's cap, and I was full 50 kit. I didn't do much more DPS than anyone else, less than some. If you don't put a minimum spells known required on content when you make BLU join the rest, you'll have to give them their spells instead of having us learn them, and that would destroy what makes them a BLU in the first place.

  6. Might as well ask if they should just revamp the whole job so you can use it in ALL normal content in the game. I personally feel like the whole Blue Mage idea that they went with was just a really big fail and quite frankly I'm tired of begging and pleading for them to be included in more things. I understand that some people appreciate the "fantasy" that being a blue mage kind of makes you feel like a God but for me that feeling wore off really quickly when I realized that I couldn't use the job in any of the content that I run regularly in the game. You can't use it in the MSQ, you can't use it in dungeons, trials, or raids without specifically creating a group for it which means no duty finder, and you can't even take it into POTD or HoH! So when I see a question about Blue Mage being allowed in PVP my mind instantly recoils at the utter impossibility of it because that would require them to create a "balanced" PVP moveset for them. Now, seeing what this new PVP team has done with all the revamped jobs and the Crystalline Conflict mode I have no doubt that they have the skills necessary to create such a thing (they could design it around aetheric mimicry with many of their abilities changing depending on their borrowed stance) but the consequences of doing so would likely be more than SE wants to bring upon themselves. IF they actually did this and it was done extremely well then the cries to make Blue Mage able to do more content in the game would be redoubled with people inevitably calling for the thing I've wanted from the very beginning which is for Blue Mage to be a job like all the other jobs with set abilities that can be used in ALL content. SE definitely doesn't want that very loud headache when they're already trying to do so many different things to improve the game overall so I highly HIGHLY doubt they would open that can of worms…even if I would personally love it.

  7. My personal opinion: Yes. Every other class has a different loadout (or skills) for PvP. So this is prime time for BLU to get in on something other classes can do, so it doesn't feel as isolated as it does now. Sure. You'd have to set the skills. But that's fine for PvP. It literally fits. Honestly, this is the only area of the game where this can happen.

Also, if Limited Jobs turns out to be a dead mechanic in the future, BLU's PvP blueprint could be used to convert the class into a main one.

  8. I haven't played FF11 but I would like to know if anyone could explain to me how Blue Mage worked on there? Was it a limited job as well? Or was it able to do pretty much all content that non-limited jobs can do?
