  1. Night Sky CRIMINAL! You didn't show the night theme in Il Mheg!
It's one of the best in the expansion. I tried playing the start of it on my new piano (inspired by FF14) on my channel recently. It's amazing.
Also maybe turn off Normal battle music. It sucks so bad and takes away from the amazing zone music, especially at night. Such a great game right?
I think you're getting close to where I am now! Epic

  2. To give credit where it's due, the person responsible for deciding the cultural details of the Night's Blessed is probably Banri Oda, the lead lore developer, though if that was in a main quest it was absolutely Ishikawa who decided how to present it and she deserves all the praise on that front.

  3. Glad I subbed a few months back when I found your channel, I've been playing on-and-off since patch 3.2 and it's always great to see someone new discover this. FF14 deserves all the praise it gets and then some. Thanks for taking us on your journey with you!

Also I'm straight, but Urianger's redesign has me seriously questioning…

  4. Love seeing your reaction to this! The inner child-like excitement on your face when you play this game, I love it! The last time I think I saw you this expressively excited and happy was when Sephiroth was announced for smash and when FF16 was shown at PS5 Showcase. So many things to look forward to. Stay safe and stay happy!

  5. Yoshida said in an interview that his favourite NPC (aside from the main cast) in this expansion would be Runar. And I agree. He is the sweetest lion boy and he needs to be protected.

But Emet tho. He is the best. Period. He is the best character, the best villain, just the best. The cheek, the sass, the AUDACITY! Love this man!

  6. Oh no. The fae, that was the worst part of Shadowbringers. I mean props for actually making them the fae, but that's…also why I hated that zone. It's so full of subtle fridge horror.

  7. FFXV was what established “The Night Sky Prince” but Shadowbringers is what embodies it, really and truly based. Both in and out of game you continue to bless people with the gift of the night sky, in one sense or another.

  8. Somebody help me here. I really wanted to play FF14 I have heard great things and seen amazing videos of it, so I decided to try it and all I got was boring deserts and boring fetch missions. Yet I look at this video and its lush environments, great monsters and lots of fun did I buy the wrong version or something lol?

  9. I consider myself dense when it comes to picking up on literary techniques and art. I love Shadowbringers, but watching you analyze certain scenes has helped me realize that I’ve only been looking at the story from the surface, which gives me a bigger appreciation for the story. Thank you.

  10. If you pay attention to the side quests in Shadowbringers, even they will teach you a lot about the world. One of the Viis sidequest also touch on their birthing rituals, and that they are also a declining population. There is also an old Vii that reminesces about the Ronkan empire, and the Warriors of Light, I think. In Ahm Arang, you learn of the excavating lifestyle of the Mords and of the previous nation that is now in ruins. So, its not just msq fetch quests that flesh out the world.

  11. The best part about the Rak'tika ambush scene is that in french Emet says the cardinal line and then goes "À plus tard~" which is just "…See you later!" which makes it even more funny to me.

  12. Feo Ul spends half the time saving our asses and the other half complaining that we don't take advantage of her often enough. She likes it rough.
As for my bro Emet: "He is not an ascian. He is THE ascian" is probably the best description of the guy.

  13. Might I suggest the faerie beast tribe quests when you get access to them? It may or may not expand on the story behind a certain character. Plus, cool Porxie mount reward.

  16. Emet-Selch is easily one of the most sympathetic villas I've seen in Final Fantasy, heck even in fiction in general. I was honestly half heartedly wanting to side with him by the end of the ShB. I freaking loved him and the side stories you can read about him in Lobestone make him even more heartbreaking 💔
