I watch this a tons of time last year. Yet the feels still hit me watching it now.
I fucking cried.
SE actually made a film series about a young man trying to reconnect with his father by using FF XIV. They had the director and two cameramen to actually play the game and record the scenes from the two cameramen's pov for when the in-game scenes are required.
The series itself was based on a real life account from a player. That player's actual in-game character, as well as his FC friends' characters, were used to film the in-game scenes.
That said, I have to say that the amount of effort to make this video was certainly nothing to scoff at. I daresay that the cinematography is even better than the film series I mentioned above. It's amazing how the story is still fairly easy to understand despite the minimal dialogue.
You could just feel the love and passion that's been poured into making this. Music was just superb and the way they put it to perfect use to invoke such emotions is just incredible. Final Fantasy 14 just feels like home no matter what.

For as much effort went into this, the part with the Viera / Viis makes no sense. They're the strongest species in the entire FF franchise; they rip through steel with their bare hands like it's butter. That dude's hand would have hurt him more than her. People needa put more respect on them, dang.
