Ran across this FFXIV video and it looked interesting so I figured I’d react to it. It was pretty good and an interesting watch. FFXIV isn’t the Game You Think it is!

So… I really like to comment on a certain statement about caring for a know people over caring for a number of people (and, I know, I know, serious stuff on a game and bla bla bla… whatever)
We, as people, tend to care more about known faces (or a made known faces) than caring after a number of people, even if the number is enormous, because a known face makes you feel more intimate, makes you care about because you know what that person does, what she left behind, who will miss her and so on. On the other hand, numbers dont say anything, they are just numbers. We can be surprised, shocked with how high it is but, in the end, they mean little to us. That is, at a certain degree, a numbness of our society. We dont care too much about unknown people as we do with close people or known faces on the midia and that is why when a book, a movie or a game makes you feel attached to someone only to kill it in the end, they appeal to this kind of feelings.
I am finnishing ARR right now and, hearing you, the video and what i see so far, I say that ARR try to get your feet on the world, on the backgound of the world, what is essential to make you care about it, and talks a lot of old stuff that we don't have direct envolviment on the actual game and people who died there that we don't interact in game too, it works on the macro scale while the expasions after it try to make the game more close to intimate, try to make you more envolved and let evolve your relations with your companions and allies (based on what I heard), it works on a micro scale. The macro scale makes you understand and care for the world while the micro scale makes you more intimate with it, they complete each other.
Sorry for the rant and the serious business on this comment, i know most people will not read it, but i just want to express what I get of this topic
How dare you!!

. Black mage is…..hard may be. And slow maybe. But guys "Explosion!"
2:20 I'm almost sure that this is a jab at the FFXIV white knights/WOW haters that you often see nowadays in the FFXIV community. At least in Reddit, saying "WOW bad FFXIV good" is a way to poke fun at those people.
13:20 Yoshi-P wants to know your location
Not gonna lie it took me 4 times to get through ARR and I played 1.0
Rdm is good but its pretty cookie cutter job line sam its just too easy
It was only boring cause its old content it was alot more engaging when it was the o ly expansion out. Now you got friends higher that you that you want to play with. Wow wasnt as engaging as it is now which is exactly why blizzard literally deleted that new play experience
If you didn't sit thru ARR which was to set up a story that is literally sequel of previous story of the same world you in now that was destroyed you wouldn't understand what you were fighting for past ARR.
It's okay Ruri. You're my favorite content creator, even if I can barely catch your livestreams. Cheer up, Sunbro. [T]/
Slow gameplay?! I wish I had more time to weave in my OGCDs. Must get those fan procs off! Ahhhh!!!
And when you get to the level cap on every job and crafter, like I have, it's time for relic grinds. All of them.
As Josh Strife Hayes explained in one of his videos, a lot of people decide whether they want to continue playing your game in the first 2 hours, soo.. yeah, ARR does turn quite a few of them away with how slow it is.
pay through steam wallet which you can link to paypal.
Sooo Black Mages be better? Do you mean Yoshi P needs to get better Ruri? Go into the shame corner until Endwalker!
I can see why he got the dislikes. It’s not his many (many many many complaints), it’s how he talks. He emphasizes 90% of the t’s. Listening to him is grating. Even if he was singing Infinite praises, his t’s would still be terribly jarring and distracting.
Blackmage is probably the slowest and one of the least exciting until level 50 and you start to get better procs and combos.
You know how they can remedy the "representing the game" Problem with ARR is to have A quest where you get imbued with power from haedelyn and endgame skills and get depowered and you can start the game – Samus Aran style….
Regarding Paypal payment, the Reason for that is called FFXI and its even more horrendous webservice.
Hey. Saw you in the Latest Arekkz Video. You did a really good Job in explaining. So take my Sub and I really looking forward for your future Videos
and dunno why but i got hell a lot of Christian Slater Vibes from you
it is not bad, fair, but for some reason people say: "you either quit in ARR or you turn yourself into a walking advertise for the game"…. and looking back after playing it all, i can understand that
except blackmage damage is best? so….???
OFCOUSE A GUY A CAT
There is a reason FFXI is one of the first MMO that uses crysta that is the reason they stick with it!
But I do agree it is hard for some new ppl that need to go into the LORE that takes time but, the story gets so good what you said.
the gameplay is the same way it is slow but later you will see that the 50 is getting a bit better and then you will get to 80 is so different between 50 to 80 that you will see in a large scope that you need to more button pressing then you started. The better thing beginning players should look at is traits and jobs abilities if they hit 30 and have there job for the first time so they can see what they can looking forward to it. with all the abilities they get later on the game!
