I highly doubt cosmic exploration is gonna have anything for battle classes, from the get go I always saw it as another firmament (maybe some island sanctuary vibes too). Maybe not building a new housing zone but expanding our foot in the galaxy, which if they did that they could just keep it going if people like it, add a new zone every expac. My guess is the moon base will be the main crafing hub and the colorful plant area will be the gathering area. honestly this is what im most excited for this whole expac.
so it's gonna be the same as we had before, just like every other ff14 content?

I think the 'space' content is the content talked about in fanfest called "Cosmic Exploration". Prior to Dawntrail release in a previous fanfest, I think they were talking about it as something like the island content. =0 But we'd be helping resettle the stars.

Do I want more rehashed, reskinned content that offers nothing other than timesinks? No, no I do not. Reskinned bozja/eureka. Reskinned ishgard resto. Reskinned FF11 mobs. Reskinned 10+ year old boss for "savage but not savage" no-gearing-rewards content. It's like they can't make up their mind. We cannot get ICONIC FF classes, because they want to "do original things" but then when it comes to any actual content they take the laziest damn routes imaginable, and then give them horrible pointless rewards instead of gearing advancement.
I’ll keep my expectations low.
i really hope that this space exploration is "just" gatherer/crafter content and not ishgard restoration for housing again cause I REALLY wanna have the next housing are to be in Solution 9
I am very wary of this cosmic exploration thing, it doesn't look like Final Fantasy at all. Hope the story surrounding it keeps it isolated from the rest of the game. I'm gonna facepalm if they tell us that the scholars of Sharlayan built these sci-fi space bases and mecha.

none of the new content has been interesting enough for me to sub again so my bf and quit for now. i wish they would do something fun and different and not the same old. ita getting really boring.

Square is really dragging their feet for these patch fan fests. I miss when Square was struggling and wanted subscriptions so they put in more effort than they are doing now.
I would love the space restoration thing. First name that popped into my head for it was "Distant Worlds" Still FF themed and would work!
Also, I love the side story on the costume unlocks, that was fantastic!
As a resident of Dynamis, I hope that the restoration and/or other things have to be completed on your home world. It was so nice when Dynamis was busy for a few months.
I don't want the FOMO of the titles from Ishgard Resto, I'm fine with rankings. Like, the titles should not be permanently missable.
cosmic exploration will be ishgard resto (Personally I think it will just be on the moon. So we don't have to live with the space bunnies. Also it will be where we get the new crafting, gathering relics) and the combat stuff will be the eureka type zone. 2nd edit change of thought it might be the planet that the spoilers came from
I really hope 7.1 is a great patch because 7.0 made me drop the game entirely; still haven't finished the lvl 99 MSQ.

I still believe we should temper our expectations on the cosmic exploration. The new zone I'm imagining will be tied to the DT relic chase with some atma, crystal, NM, FATE madness and a book club. Seeing it now as a near carbon copy of Bozja tbh, I'll be happy to be proven wrong!

The jab about the trusts' outfits was hilarious ngl. Patient to see what the patch content comes out like, they've already announced a smorgasbord of stuff and I can't help but worry they'll trip over themselves somehow

Yeah… None of the characters in it wear an outfit like this, but look into Touhou Project. It's kind of a big deal in Japan. If it's nothing to do with that series of games, manga, and occasional music album (with short stories attached), then "Touhou" is all the more curious as a word choice.
Excited for a new crafting/gathering zone. Can't wait for alliance raids. I really hope the patches redeem the writing in DT.
