  1. "Just take off the one item we build every core mechanic of this expansion around and require you to wear at all time because there's not even alternative gear for that slot and, tadaaa, problem solved.". Man, fuck these people. I know it was probably meant as a joke, but still… fuck them. They deserve to go down with the steaming pile of garbage they turned WoW into. But they won't, because massive amounts of Copium will keep it afloat.

  2. thats what happen when u take things out of context, i really hate ion but those jokes/sarcasm were pure gold, people just replaced wow copium for ff copium

  3. This really highlights why a lot, especially Ion, on the current wow team need to be replaced. I'm all for cracking jokes and having a laugh but none of these were good. On top of that, most of these were from disgruntled customers asking questions of the company. The much better why to respond would have been to show empathy to the players unhappiness, explain the design perspective of the choices, admit fault where applicable, and then maybe crack a joke but make the company or dev team the butt of it not the upset customer. Thats basic interaction skills if you want people to understand you.

  4. The tension of Yoshi is palpable from that last LL. Though it may have hurt for any party that may have watched wether it be from the news Of the delay and or scheduling or just just yoshi, I honestly can’t imagine this dudes mental state.

To juggle all this and still wear 10 rings and be fly as hell. Dudes not human. I’ve been playing this game for 6months and my 15years of wow under my belt just pale in comparison to the respect I have for yoshi and his teams working extremely passionately on the game. Im sure that it’s not always been perfect and I’ve seen nearly all of the docus on FFXIV and it’s just jarring the difference in support.

  5. Quazii said it was like Heaven and Earth, and I agree.

Ion looks down upon us from on high, and expects us to worship him as though he were a God.

Yoshida is down to earth, and talks to his fellow gamers, as one of us.

  6. Imagine being a demonology warlock enthusiest in WoD and then the game director says that the development team “would rather you not play Demonology Warlock.”

Fuck dude, may as well remove the spec from the game in that case. It will hurt just as much.

  7. Yoshi p is a legend in my book, he is what every gaming company needs. The success of FFXIV is a direct result of his passion and dedication, it's very clear this game means alot to him and the people who love his and his teams work also mean alot to him and this is why I feel honored and privileged to have experienced this game. I hope more people like him start taking leadership roles in various gaming companies so we can finally get back to loving these games rather than feeling scammed by these companies.

  8. Making a joke out of a question you don't want to answer is indeed, a method of deflection. Even in apologies, even in light hearted jokes… Ion never left the firm! This is strategic. He's an ego designer. He wants to puzzle you. Like how he makes fun of the questions not being important, but then refuses to answer the important ones.

If you'd ask him: "Well, what do you want to answer then, Ion?" He'd make a light joke about wanting to return to his desk and work. Hahaha! But that would also be deflection, because that's most likely what he'd do if his bosses didn't mandate that he's to appear on camera and try to make it seem like he cares. He failed to do so, and that's why these Q&A's stopped after 3 patches. He's a terrible liar. Probably why he's at Blizzard now!

  9. Nobody is asking Ion to cry. Just to fucking care a little bit. It's funny because these guys are getting into virtue signaling lately. Just like with the wokes and cancel culture it's always the absolute WORST people doing that stuff… Arrogant assholes telling people what's right and what's not.

  10. So FF devs are good at fake crying. And? Twitch girls do that all the time.
Japan is a culture of forced, gun to your head contriteness. It's all fake. They are good at pretending they give a fuck. I actually respect Ion more, since he openly doesn't care that much. That's at least honest.

It is sick how bizarrely enamored of FF devs you are when it's all an act. No normal person cries like this over a game launch delay. Get real. One is telling you to your face what they really think and the other is blowin smoke up your ass while wiping away fake tears.

It is the same nonsense that goes on in game, too. People think the FF is really good when in reality, it's also all fake niceness. They have a virtual gun to their head making them be "nice."

All complex MMOs suck ass at balancing classes. The only way to make stuff "balanced" is to dumb it down and effectively make classes the same. FF isn't even about endgame. It's about playing house and dressing up like cat girls.

In context, demo was broken and the only thing people were playing. Any change to nerf it would be opposed because people, get this, love being OP. They would rather you not just play Demo, and the only way people would do that is if it were OP, since it was more complex. No one is going to play a much more complicated spec that is on par.

Lets remember here that a lot of things wrong with WoW were actually caused by player feedback. From the removal of currencies to dailies to world quests to rare gear, etc. Players will ask for shit, convivences, and then pull a 180 asking for removal, then ask for it to come back. They hate the result of what they demanded, but then they demand the devs cater to their every whim. Every half-baked public opinion.

Scaling? Caused by players whining they had no "challenge" out in the world. They wanted content that didn't become trivial.

  11. I don't get why people give Ion Hazzikostas a pass. Just look at the way he acts on camera. Then read the tone of what he says. It's never his fault. Oh sure the words might IMPLY that there's some fault, but it'll always round back to "I'm sorry you feel this way, whateves…".

Nothing is ever Blizz's fault. If challenged, they'll retreat back to their "creative vision" which is untouchable. But when it's convenient, they'll start a round of "we welcome feedback" which THEY'LL IGNORE, but you have to like Blizz again because "they listened". No they didn't. They only "listen" when the WoW cycle allows for it. They'll only "listen" when the sub numbers fall even more. And all this time creeps like Ion will talk condescendingly at paying customers because they just wouldn't shut up and accept whatever morsels Blizz has graciously deemed fit to throw at them.

  12. It is really painful to see how much YoshiP is suffering when we has to tell something so… normal… on the industry as a delay

Meanwhile, Blizzard couldnt give a single fuck even if they were the Jeff Bazos of Fucks

  13. Being optimistic. I think, at this point, Blizzard is doing all this shit on purpose to destroy their own company for good.
Reason? I don't know. Whatever it is, nobody is gonna take them seriously anymore.

  14. I've seen a lot of compliments about the ff community shitting on wow but when you look at the people who are doing it they are all people who are ex wow players, lets be honest no one praises ffxiv right now more than ex wow players

  15. They broke Rurikhan after that Heart of Azeroth comment. I had to check to see if the video was still going since he was so dumbfounded it literally stunned him (guess they nerfed your trinket eh?)

  16. The 1.5 second bit was even worse because it was BFA when basically everything was placed on the 1.5s GCD, which made a lot of classes feel shitty to play, for those that weren't there or have blacked it out.

  17. There is a thing called a 'non-compete clause' in employment terms that can allow a company to sue it's ex-employees to oblivion if they come out to blow the whistle on their evil or scummy practices.

  18. They nerfed your favorite spec… well they deleted mine from the game and replaced it with something else by the same name… I miss my survival hunter x.x
The closest thing that came to it was affliction lock and when I was playing that was the weaker spec.

  19. Thanks so much for watching my video! Been a fan of yours for a few years now! It's certainly hard to watch a game that I've spent 16 years playing be in such shambles, but having left WoW, it's really eye-opening to revisit some of these moments after seeing the contrast with Yoshi-P.
