Rurikhan Finally Completes the level 50 Dark Knight Quest in FFXIV…

So I’ve always heard about how awesome the Dark Knight quest was and I always said to myself “Sure, It’s probably great, whatever”. And then played this part of it, and now I get it.

  1. Fray represents how every player character in WoW, Skyrim, Fallout and others would act. I'm the f-ing HERO. I saved you ALL multiple times. AND still ppl act like you're a nobody, just a weapon to point at the enemy.

  2. I love how they take the people their forgiving you and protecting you an sb have it develop both esteem and other characters in the drk quest, with the main theme of the sb quests being about how despite everything you’ve done, how far a dark knight you’ve gone, you are still a good person, not everything can go perfectly, you just need to do the best you personally can.

  3. Ruri why are you in shire gear for a 50 quest, why do you have the blood gague, how far did you level without your heavensward skills. Unless it was all in like, potd and hoh so you could do all job quests in one go, then fair enough.

  4. The whole DRK job quest are fucking ridiculous, not in a bad way. The lvl 50 quest is really good, then the lvl 60 quest is really fucking good, the lvl 70 quest is a fucking masterpiece (obviously all this is my opinion), and the lvl 80 one is like the perfect culmination.
Seriously, Ishikawa-San is a genius and she deserve all the praise she can get

  6. There is a concept in psychology of a shadow or dark side that exists within everybody. The more we try to suppress it, the more control it gains over us. When we learn to accept it however, we will naturally manifest virtuous attributes. I love this story because it teaches this really complex philosophical lesson in a way we can accept because we have experienced it a little bit even if it was just a video game.

Show love for that part of yourself that is full of rage and spite and you will grow strength and compassion.

  7. the Dark knight job story is realy good. I've liked all the job quests I've done so far, the paladin one was good too, as was the warrior and the Gunbreaker and the Machinist. the 4 last ones I've only done to level 60, but they have been good.

  8. I couldn't stand the DRk quests.

So much so that I avoided doing the second half of them until just before Shadowbringers came out, and found out that past level 60, they got even worse than what I'd had to put up with in the 50-60 range. The pre-50 ones were… OK.

But after that it was just an amazingly bad story. All Emo, no logic, and no depth. Since it'd be spoilers I've edited out why.
