  1. The funniest bit about Rich thinking Urianger's philosophy is just him dickwagging to hear himself talk is that Urianger's supposition and epiphany are actually completely correct and you can completely prove it from within the game.

To the denizens of the Source, they see Light as Astral and Darkness as Umbral (its in the pole alignment's names). But however, there is a place in the game we can completely prove that the way the Source has labelled these two poles is wrong. It's literally shown in a Class/Job mechanic that's been in the game since the beginning of ARR: Thaumaturge/Black Mage.

Astral Fire is assumed to be Fire aligned with the pole of activity – but if you look at it, what does the Astral Fire status do? It causes you to *stop regenerating MP naturally*. And MP is just the game's way of classifying aether for magical use. Sure, your spells get more powerful at the cost of more aether (MP), but you literally are unable to refresh your own aetheric stores.

Meanwhile, Umbral Ice does the opposite — it increases the speed of your aetheric regeneration by a significant amount, implying that you're technically in a more active aetheric state while channeling Umbral Ice.

  2. I find it odd, with Rich and Asmondgold's disdain for the leaders of factions. Calling them 'useless' is pretty shallow. Obviously, they've held together groups of people in times of stress and adversity. Not everyone has to be a sword swinger or a spell slinger to be effective. I'm fine with the leader of the Scions, and I'm equally fine with the leader of the Twin Adders. They wouldn't BE the leaders of the more visibly active people if they weren't good at it.

  3. why is chat saying voeburt is ishgard and rich saying the tower is "literally" the same one. the worlds are not reflections. they developed differently. there's never been an ishgard on the first or an ala migho or a ul'dah

  4. 2:30 A re-balancing of mic volume vs game audio volume really might be in order. I find him really loud too. In highlight vids like Lulu, I have to steer the volume bar as I watch.

Also, about Kan-E-Senna, without her, you never would've ended the Dragonsong War. She is the one that helped you communicate with the moogles and by extension, obtain the horn needed to contact Hraesvelgr. In addition, she also helped you recover Y'shtola. She's done plenty.

  5. To be fair, Kan-E-Senna did join the fight during the liberation of Ala Mhigo. If you turned the camera at a certain area of the last dungeon in 4.0, you would see her fighting along side her guards, casting Stone.

  6. Voeburt's architecture is similar, but not the same as Ishgard's, since Ishgard's was architecture that came from the dragons (who dont exist in any shard but the Source). But it is in more or less the same place, so maybe some sort of environmental factor shaped it at some point.

And interestingly, Voeburt was mostly lizards instead of elves

  7. I've really been enjoying his playthrough but he's been getting angry over the smallest things as of late. It just creates this weird cycle where he gets mad about TTS during cutscenes, to getting mad at chat suggesting turning off TTS during cutscenes, to getting mad at chat over misunderstanding story bits because he keeps getting distracted.

So I'm even more thankful for these.
