  1. For a patch called "Newfound Adventure", there wasn't much adventure in this patch.

    The formula really hurts FFXIV. Each patch, you kill filler mobs, read a glorified visual novel/watch a movie for a couple hours, kill more mobs in a 15 minute long corridor you'll only do once, and that's that. So much for adventure. GW2, on the other hand, is one of the few fantasy games in recent memory that really does feel like you are on an adventure. Every patch, you travel to a large, brand new zone that is jam packed with content. Even Blizzard has you go to 2 or 3 new zones in the patch content as a part of the story. If ArenaNet and Blizzard can do that, I don't see why Square Enix can't either.

    Also not a fan of the cast continuing to be… the Scions. One of the most stale and unlikeable RPG casts I've ever seen. When they disbanded at the end of 6.0, I was hoping that we would finally be ditching and get a brand new cast of characters. At least our base this time is a little more interesting than Mor Dhona.
