There’s a lot of FF12 in the Ascians and the Ancients. Their names and face sigils come from the Scions of Light Espers who are the offscreen opposites to the 12 weirdos like Belias the Gigas, Hashmael the Shrimp Man, Water Jug carrier. Elidibus isn’t in 12, they gave him Zodiark’s sigil. Emet-Selch’s opposite is Zalera the Death Seraph, and Lahabrea’s is Mateus the corrupt. Venat the Heretic is also from 12, as the secondary antagonist
Oh yeah, depending on your astrology knowledge, you can recognize by the constellations which character is talking because the 13 of them are all assigned a Zodiac sign, same as the FF12 Summons they’re paired to. Emet-Selch is Gemini ♊️, the twins, he’s the only Ascian with the hyphenated name, and Nald’thal, one of Eorzea’s 12 gods is judge of the dead is two people in one
