  1. speaking of catchy – has he heard "Good King Moogle Mog" yet? I haven't seen it come up yet…… For context on this particular fight – this is your initial training session when you pick up the job Dancer in FFXIV if I remember correctly.

  2. yeah, while the ff9 version is still more iconic I do like this one myself. As you've noticed the music in 14 likes to twist things around, in this case the Dancer job unlock uses an alternative inspired addition to it due to the backstory of the class 🙂 As for the scenery, the area is Costa Del Sol, an area in La Noscea which you can do regular questing in from the very start of the game. The area is on a beautiful coastline with cliffs and waterfalls. (The first area in the cutscene video was in a major city in game, Limsa Lominsa). Have a good day, Jesse!

  3. from what I barely remember of the XIV Dancer questline, they are a travelling dance troupe who dance to bring happiness to the people who watch their shows (in a nutshell). So yeah, I can see it being a theme of travelling, going to places far and wide, all sorts of regional destinations and city centres too 🙂 thanks again for your react!

  4. in FFXIV lore, dancer comes from the country of Thavniar, which is based mostly off of India
Vama'Alla Flamenco originally came from FFIX, i think. it played during a performance by the main characters who are part of a theatre troupe. i think that was one of the reasons why the song was used instead of an original, other than it being catchy. the group that teaches you how to be a dancer is Troupe Falsiam, a traveling dance troupe who bring hope and happiness to everyone with their dance.
background scenery of the fight is in La Noscea, off the coast of Costa Del Sol. probably the most beautiful beach location in FFXIV.

  5. As good as this version is the original has a more classic sound to it so defo give it a listen. Along a similar line I recommend Tales of Zestiria Flaming Bonds are Being Tested. Also known as the fire trial. Sounds like they took wild west themes mixed with Spanish guitar music and synth pop. It's really entertaining.

  6. Vamo' Alla Flamenco… it's a phrase used in South American Spanish, where the listeners are cheering on the Flamenco musicians (usually guitarist) to speed up the tempo, in essence it's a ""LETS GOOOO!!" hype chant from the crowd.

  7. So many other comments telling you that the FF9 version is closer to what you were expecting – and they're all right. So I'll add my voice to the chorus telling you to go listen to the original FF9 version already!
