  1. Ah this just sums up Shadowbringers perfectly. It always plays at such beautiful moments.
While Endwalker does enhance Shadowbringers, i can't not think of my time playing Shadowbringers when I hear this piece.

  2. I appreciate that you don't play the game because it just shows how impactful this music is, how powerful the music is just covering the emotion of the story. You don't need the context. You're already feeling it.

P.S. I hope you get to listen to Flow soon, it's like a continuation of this song and very good. Best of luck with all the incoming Endwalker music. 🙂

  3. This song causes a visceral reaction in me.

I bite my knuckles. I close my eyes. I struggle to talk.
Shadowbringers was such an incredible story, no…experience.

Sometimes all you need is a piece of music, a fictional story, a place to be, a conversation…to change your perspective for that one moment to really appreciate all you do have.

Thanks you all the videos this year Jesse, i been lingering for a long time and your videos do make me genuinely exited, to share a feeling in something.

  4. There is a better orchestrated "live" version published on the FFXIV YouTube channel that hits even harder. I was hoping you'd react to that one, but even the in-game song is so powerful it is worth a listen.

For context, it plays after the final battle of the main story of Shadowbringers and the song is a plea from the hero to the villain, so lost in darkness is he that he feels he can't stop lest thousands of years of work and grief be for naught. "Stand tall, my friend. May all of the dark lost inside you find light again."

  5. You should check out the Guilty Gear Strive soundtrack! Lots of unique and really amazing rock/metal songs. Some recommendations I have are, "Drift", "Let Me Carve Your Way", "Love the Subhuman Self", "The Kiss of Death" and "Roar of the Spark"

  6. Stand Tall, my friend! 🙂

Everything about that song is great, from emotional melodies to striking lyrics and that voice, the culmination with everything. Tomorrow and tomorrow is another marvelous piece. I love how they can manage to take you on a journey, the moment the song start, give you certain feelings, give you bit of sadness and something to reflect on, to wash it away later and reminds you about Life and Hope, and then leave you fulfilled, blissed, at the end 🙂
