  1. Theres a pvp instance called Rival Wings that allows you to ride a brute justice mech which plays this when you mount up. Cant tell ya how many times I've died from just rocking out and not paying attention to anything lmao.

  2. for PRIMALS renditions of songs, i recommend you check out Under the Weight. not only is the song good in general, but in the 2021 version at least, Naoki Yoshida the director and producer (and savior) of ffxiv makes an appearance to sing.

  3. The singer for the Primals live here is Michael Christopher Koji Fox – the guy who writes the English lyrics for all the XIV songs, and is the lead English localiser for the game. Jason Charles Miller was the pre-recorded one in the other live reaction you did.

  4. The real insanity with this song (and their rendition of Rise) is that one of the game's most difficult boss fights (The Epic of Alexander, aka TEA), features those songs, and not only that, but the fight itself is timed to the beats of the music. There's a section of Rise that plays when the Wormhole Formation mechanic is going on, and with this song (which plays during phase 2 of the fight as you battle Brute Justice and Cruise Chaser simultaneously), the bass drum hit at 3:37 is synced up to BJ's Double Rocket Punch tankbuster attack. The songs are arranged a wee bit different to fit the fights, but they do so perfectly. 🙂

  5. This song plays during one of the hardest phases in one of the hardest fights in the game. It's very hard to pay attention to what you have to do during it because you cannot suppress the urge to JAM.

  6. I think we should all collectively work to convince Jesse that the robot voice is Koji's natural voice.

Oh right. Also, the singer there is Michael Christpher Koji Fox. Jason Charles Miller has a beard XD You've seen him in the other live performance I believe you watched. I remember commenting about him.

  7. It's actually a music video, the music itself is pre-recorded and not live on this version. You can see a live version though since they recorded their entire Fanfest 2021 concert and they played this as part of the concert.

  8. Fanfest performances are a beast of another nature to witness. They are so magical with all the energy the Primals bring mixed with the love and passion of the fans in the crowd. I can't wait to attend once they bring them back!

  9. You know it took a massive amount of work to rework the arrangement for a live performance. Making a song that's meant to loop throughout a boss encounter is one thing. Taking that loop and chopping it up, rearranging it, practicing it, and executing it is SUCH an endeavor, and these guys are all bosses for pulling it off.

  10. You heard the normal version of the fight, a one-off boss in the Alexander raid. And it's a kickass fight, of course it is. With that BGM it's near impossible to not have fun and that's BEFORE taking into account it goes full Transformers x Power Rangers on your ass.

This is from the Ultimate version; basically a 20-minute long gauntlet of ALL the main Alexander bosses jacked up to a thousand and out to murder your ass. Way more happening.
    And naturally, way more epic.
Hence; music. Anytime you're looking at something from The Primals- it's USUALLY a remix of the same song by the band, and there's a 50/50 chance there's a new fight to it. So.. keep an eye out when you're finding these.

  11. Yaaaaasssss! I mentioned listening to this in the Brute Justice reaction. So glad you got the chance to check it out Jesse! It’s soooo good!
*the Ska part is what made me love this version lol

  12. That was fun. I do play the game and that is one of my favorite songs. It is also one of two fights my FC didn't tell me the mechanics. I hate going in blind but there are no guides to it either. Go in and have fun
