3. Isn't canceling a bet admitting you lose but don't want to pay the money? The reason he canceled it is the reason people said he won't be able to do it. I understand he isn't having fun with what he's doing and he shouldn't continue if he isn't, but everyone, even Rich and Zepla tried to bash it into his skull that he will hate it, it will be torture and he will hate his life and not be able to do it. Yet he insisted in going down that route and added more and more into the bet. Everyone said he won't be able to do ultimate let alone get necromancer. Imo he put these crazy expectations on himself when everyone said he shouldn't and is now imploding from those expectations. Everyone can baby him all they want but he is doing this to himself. Chat does go too far with stuff, 100%, but knowing that is even more why he shouldn't go and add every extremely difficult thing in the game to a bet/promise that he will give chat 10k subs. Chat WANTS the 10k subs. It creates competition with his chat and chat will in turn get more toxic. It's his fault for doing that.

6. I mean duh he cancels it, he should enjoy the game at his own pace.
   There's so much fucking content in the game that has ZERO HOLD on end game game content.
   The fact he would want to get to end game in just a few months in an mmo he's never played is just shitty for him in the long and short run.

   I'm saying this from the perspective of someone who has never skipped a single bit of content and watches all the cutscenes and because of my large breaks I've straight up missed entire questlines over the years that were added when I wasn't playing.
   Like the gilgamesh big bridge thing was NOT in the game when I was playing and I had to go back and do the entire questline recently because I saw a green chicken someone had and googled it and was like "huh I didn't know that was a thing!" so i took the time out of my day to go do the entire questline.
   Was a funny little questline and I enjoyed it alot!
   We need more of this kinda stuff, little fun and rewarding questlines with great writing. More games should take a page for from ff14 devs and just give a few more fucks about things that have nothing to do with a carrot on the end of the stick. Make more sticks, make more carrots. But more importantly, make the journey to get the carrot really good.
   Thats what ff14 does right, the journey. The end content is fun, of course. But they always thought about the journey first and that's what's really kept me coming back. With over 500 days subbed (I think someothing happened with my account time and sub time cause it used to be higher but when i logged on both seemed to be lower numbers? I figured it had something to do with lots of account transfers on my account)

15. If Asmon just admitted defeat and paid his end of the bet instead of outright canceling it I feel like people wouldn't be on his back about it as much. I mean he's the one who started it. It's the least he can do.

18. I don't know if Rich's stream has been like this from the start since he played WoW, but it's really been frustrating to see the toxicity levels in his chat increasing. I suppose that's just what happens when you become big enough, but still. These people are purposely ruining the fun for Asmon and for Rich 🙁

    The manipulation powers he has are pretty impressive though.

21. Isn't canceling a bet… just losing the bet? Like if you bet a friend $10 that you will jump off a roof, and then you realize it's a bad idea, then you pay your friend $10. Determining the conditions of a bet are bad is sort of the entire premise of a bet…

22. if asmon really cared about the deadline, he wouldn't be taking his time and hitting all different aspects of the game. he'd have been done with it already had he stuck strictly to the MSQ and just leveled.

23. I don't blame him for quitting the potd necromancer run. He is a new player trying to do something only 2% of the player base has done. Hell I didn't even know POTD had 200 floors, I just did it for exp which is what most people were referring him to as the boring part. He's just not big on rotations but I think he should just get more into the game and maybe get back into it after awhile.

25. I think Asmon was completely shocked by how much different content is in the game since when compared to WoW its not even remotely close. He originally started FFXIV saying he was going hard and would finish everything the game has to offer in a month lol.

    It's easily for the best that he canceled the bet so he can just enjoy the game and see why we love it so much <3

It doesnt make his stream weird it loses him alot of money, that is all he cares about, just like the rest of the fake outrage WoW YTers, I cant forgive Activision/Blizzard for allowing a situation where a young woman thought it was better to take her life than quit, they humiliated her on a level that is unforgivable and those people who Asmongold and Bellular use to justify the game now are the same people who looked the other way while her 'V' pics were being spread all around Blizzard, may it all burn down and those responsible pay dearly. I am a demented pervert, but I would never allow that to hurt or force another person to participate, NO means NO and KIDS ARE OFF LIMITS, the only way Activision/Blizzard or any company will listen is you cut their revenue and those WoW idiots know it or they are too stupid where they pay lip service but they dont care anyone who still gives Act/Blizz money is saying well it didnt happen to me and I hope it never does but it did happen to someone and fuck you for turing your head like a coward, its a game its not more important than ones soul. I need to get off YT for a minute or Im going to friggin explode.

29. His stream chat will give him shit but the community as a whole know its the right thing to do. The unnecessary deadline is only there to add stress for him to rush through content when he should just be enjoying whatever he finds. I personally NEVER played chocobo racing or PotD past floor 50 so he's already doing content I had never even attempted and I've been playing since 2.something.

    Tl;dr- let the man do the content he wants at the pace he wants. And of course let him play other games when they release as well (aka New World) without the pressure of NEEDING to return to FFXIV asap for some stupid bet to clear content 99% of the community hasn't anyway.
