  1. Even if you don't make videos on these other FFXIV songs I'd definitely recommend you also listen to Wayward Daughter, What Angel Wakes Me, Beauty's Wicked Wiles, Weight of the World (Prelude Version), Thunder Rolls, Twice Striken, Equilibrium, The Queen Awakens, Wrath of the Harrier, Return to Oblivion, Sunrise, From the Dragon's Wake, and Amatsu Kaze. All of these are show off just the kind of range that Soken has and uses when he makes music for these big fights. Again, I'm not asking you to do videos on all of these songs I did kinda just dump out like 13 names, but they are all great songs I'm sure you'd enjoy to at least listen to at some point in your free time.

Some of the songs you've already listened to even tell stories or are sung from the perspective of another character we don't really hear much from. Answers and Dragonsong are both sung from this character's perspective, Dragonsong in particular actually gives backstory to the Dragonsong War which encompasses much of the crux of the story conflict during the Heavensward expansion.

  2. It's always cool to see the way Soken can build a theme up through progressive iterations, intensifying it until you reach the climax of the story.

A good example of this would be, in the order they appear in the game, Neath Dark Waters, then Mortal Instants, then To the Edge. Well, you've listened to To the Edge already, but I think listening to the previous two would help give some more context to To the Edge. I think Mekkah Dee's videos will probably be the first hits when you search for them. I think those are best bet, good visuals.

  3. Well now I want him to review the three final Ultimate themes too

    Beyond Redemption from UCoB
    Ultima (Orchestral) from UwU
    Moebius (Orchestral) from TEA

    All those are utter badass.

  4. If you're looking for a song in the same vein as this, you might want to try "Proof of a Hero" from the Monster Hunter franchise. It's incredible in how it conveys that feeling of a thin line between triumph and disaster.

Fun fact, a version of "Proof of a Hero" was played at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony. Kind of crazy for a video game soundtrack.

  5. Entire Heavensward was pretty much a reward for surviving the "old" ARR (pre-streamlining main story quests) and this music was certainly of the biggest rewards.
What an epic friggin finale, putting an end to a war and saving a friend.

  6. Just one thing to note. This fight with Nidhogg is easily the most cinematic fight in the game until the end of the main story in Shadowbringers. There is such intense buildup to this fight that starts even before the Heavensward expansions story kicks off. And if you play a Dragoon, you're feeling this buildup from not long after the beginning of the game when you unlock the job. And that buildup gets more and more intense as the story goes on. This is a huge climax in the story, and the story does it justice.

We would not get a fight this emotionally intense for a long, long time. We saw this fight in June of 2016. The next time we saw this kind of emotional climax was in July of 2019.

  7. I've watched all your FFXIV reacts so far and I think you would enjoy two others. "Locus," which is such a fun song from FFXIV. There is a lot of serious, beautiful music in this world, but there is also some fun stuff. Also "Insatiable" is one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy all the music the FFXIV world has to offer, it's all beautiful works of art.
