FFXIV is updating their graphics down the road, along side a ton of other changes that look to improve Final Fantasy 14 into the premiere MMORPG.

Hi
I think the MSQ dungeon requirements should get the trust system sometimes you can wait a while for those. Keep the optional raids and dungeons for multi-player. I don't see anything wrong with that. I'd like that. I hope he Yoshi-P follows through.
There's one huge issue with MMORPG and it's the ability to preserve. Whether we like it or not, FF14 will disappear someday and unplayable. Making FF14 MSQ to be one player could technically allow for preservation. But in order to do this, many of the system also must be offline and at the moment, that can't be done.
Well, FFXIV was the only FF I never played although I knew the story would be amazing.
Because it is a mmo – and I'm somehow afraid of failing in group content with other players.
When I heard I could use npc groups to go into dungeons I gave the game a try.
And shit, I love it sooo much.
So much that I force myself to run the post ARR content with other players.
Heavensward has no dungeon helper yet.
Dont get me wrong, I'm fine with having other people around, but I don't like to be forced to join them during msq, especially when I had a bad day or so.
Btw… how cute is Estinien, please?
Never expected him to look like an angel with that voice ^^
I don't see these changes affecting the social aspect of FFXIV, for the simple fact that FFXIV's social aspects have always been independent of the combat systems.
Seriously, I wonder how many people are aware that there are nightly social clubs that exist in FFXIV? Nightclubs, FC casino nights, real events that have real world DJs streaming their sets on Twitch and other places? I wonder how many people know about the Lalafell parades, the vigils, the player-made theatres (just yesterday an in-game theatre group put on a performance of Pirates of the Caribbean with an all Lalafell cast, that you can watch on both AnnieFuchsia and Stal's Twitch channels).
In a lot of MMO's, dungeon content is how you get the player base to interact. In FFXIV? Not so much. There are people that literally chill out in Limsa all day just to hang with people and take screenshots. FFXIV is the most ridiculously social game I've ever seen. As a former WoW player of 14 years, it still blows my damn mind.
It's called semi-realistic. WoW is cartoony, Soul Worker is anime, FF is semi-realistic
You know how TV shows used to do that thing "previously on …." then show a quick recap, well I think each expac could use that. Once you hit Lev cap for that expac you then can optionally "complete the story and skip to the next season".
