  1. Happy Black Maging, and I relate very strongly to Heavensward trailer hype! I'm not sure if game has told you about aether currents yet, but those are fun to find to unlock flying per zone. Also, that was the opposite of ASMR and I couldn't stop laughing! Thanks for the video! Next we need a Black Mage training montage!

  2. 2:16 — "Its so pointless, yet so awesome" – Dragoon in a nutshell XD XD XD

9:06 — Lesson learned: do not jump of high cliffs when you have aggroed something XD

I wont lie, your misery is kinda amusing XD

Black Mage isnt as bad as its reputation. Personally, I like it quite a lot, and with your LB3 you're summoning an actual meteorite from the sky! 😀

  3. Ah, yes, the second step of becoming an absolute addict to FFXIV : Madness.
I loved your reactions to the trailer, thanks for recording that !
Hope the grind for BLM (Black Mage) isn't too tedious, especially considering how difficult to play that class is.
The only kind of ASMR I would listen to :>

  4. Oh, by the way, the "player character" in cinematics is called Meteor !
Well, actually it's Meteor Survivor, because of all the Dalamud thingy, but it was shortened and now he's just Meteor.

  5. 5:51 to 6:31 would make a great short. 😉

Sidenote: From Heavensward onwards, flying must be unlocked by gathering aether currents, and doing a few quests that also provide currents. It's a little convoluted but I think the game explains it to you at some point? It's a little vague in my head.

  6. Black Mage is… fun. Tricky, frustrating, stressful, and annoying at times… but fun. To help with the leveling, you can unlock the Challenge Log. Outside of the inn in Limsa, the blue quest "Rising to the Challenge". You get a list of weekly tasks that offer additional XP and gil for completing. Doing Fates, running dungeons… basically getting extra XP for doing things you'll already be doing. 👍

I will never get tired of "I guess I don't have to fight" moments, immediately followed by "AHHH!" as a fight begins. 🤣It mirrors my own reactions, so I'm glad I'm not the only one.

"Even though it's a little bit shorter than usual." Real OGs remember when nearly every video was under 12 minutes. 🍵Seriously though, feel free to take your time and enjoy yourself.

So flying… It's there, but you unlock it in each zone.
Useful tips: 1) In your Travel menu, there's "Aether Currents", which helps you track your unlock progress. Each HW zone has 4 that you have to find out in the zone, and 5 that are locked behind quests. (Typically the blue quests, though at least one is in the final MSQ for each zone. Basically, you unlock flying in a zone just as you're leaving it.)
    2) In your Duty menu, there's "Collection". In the window is something called an 'Aether Compass'. You can drag it to a hotbar slot, and when pressed, it will give you a rough idea where the closest aether current is. (Example: "153 yalms to the north.") If it says you can't sense any, it means you've found all for that zone. (And will highlighted in the Aether Currents menu.)

  8. fyi. in the solo instance in the western highlands… you can in fact skip all of the tracks in the snow. I know where to go and I just bee line to it and skip all the heratic spawns. theres literally one single fight that you are required to engage in and its the fight at the location you are tracking them to. XD
