After discussing Tank Busters and Bait Mechanics in his previous videos, Xeno tackles all the remaining important Healer and General Raid Mechanics in Final Fantasy XIV. In this video Xeno will explain where the mechanic’s names come from and will give examples of how they look, what they do and how to solve all kinds of different FFXIV Mechanics.

Please more youtube videos. I literally cannot use twitch and can only do VODs due to my real life commitments.
You are my favorite youtuber since you made me not bad at this game and I've had so much more fun playing it because of that.
Man as someone who just got into FF not too long ago and has been looking to get into high end content, THANK you for these super concise but effective guides. Also the entertaining content as a bonus lmfao
plz more off that !
Ah yes, I understand.
Teach HARDER, strummer.
FF vet here – You are absolutely killing it with these tutorial vids.
FF14 was my first MMO and it took me years to notice/understand some of these.
bald
what fight was rot in?
great video, maybe should have mentioned Pyretic on the Stillness section since its essentially the same thing
There is a random boss in one of the 50s dungeons that introduces an easy prey mechanic iirc
You're on fire with the content xeems, and your editor is a god
Man, newer players dunno how good they have it with all this knowledge they're getting over here.
So good!
Worth noting for stillness that you stop autoattacks if you sheathe your weapon, that way you can keep the boss in target without worrying.
Sick videos man
For Heartless Archangel at least, I know for absolute sure that it does damage and doesn't just set HP to 1. I know this because when my static were progging it it mysteriously killed our Warrior a couple times before we figured out it snapshotted their HP while in Deliverance, but they dropped it before the hit, which proceeded to kill them due to the higher HP snapshot.

man this series of Xeno-Professor is really astonishing. It helps not only new players but also brings back memories of old users too. Thanks for the great vid
one more thing to note about "prey" mechanics to add to his explanation:
In certain fights, you will get these prey markers BUT you will be able to "slip" them into someone else. This is noted in-game as "Slippery Prey" and it means that you have given someone the "Prey" marker and are unable to take it back. Some notable fights that used this is the five headed dragon from WoD, where the big fireflies will have a tether noted as "prey" that you will need to give to any other player to not die. demon chadarnook has a "slippery prey" mechanic where the goddess will give a random dps or healer a tankbuster prey called "last kiss" that needs to be given to a tank. passing both of these mechanics grant you "slippery prey".
Oh is that big FF expert who cant play without addons? Why all this advices? Isnt it easier to just say to use addon that gonna tell you what to do and when? Like you were doing most of the time in past?
thank you professor xeno. with your help i am sure to finally clear cape westwind.
