Quality of life we need: This video
Quality of life SE gives: bunny boy
I'm always more excited about QoL compared to content nowadays after playing this game for almost 10 years.
Please please please add materia gear sets! I get so tired of having to remeld for WAR if i want to play it
Aside from the glamour stuff that you mentioned. I wish we could somehow store our dye in the glamour dresser so we won’t have to carry it to dye our gear.
Further to the glamour point, please for the love of Yoshi-P put a glam dresser in our houses!!
QoL changes I want to see:
– Undo button in the housing menu
– Change all hand-in menus (skybuilders scrips, leave quests) to be the same system as crafter/gathering scrips
– Add return point to the teleport list (with your fc & houses)
– Allow applying emotes to all players inside gpose
– Allow teleporting to peoples houses through FC list
I'd love to be able to play SMN/RDM again without dealing with a massive headache swapping melds. Really hope they do something about that
Faster tank queue times plz :3
I've been wanting the "level sync but you keep all your skills" thing for a while now, too, but I feel like it'd probably work best as an option that you'd toggle like minimum item level. I can't help but feel, though, that the reason why they haven't done it yet is because the way level sync works is it levels your down, so you're not technically at the level to have learned the other skills yet. Blue Mage probably works because all of its spells are actually marked as level 1 spells, so being at lower levels doesn't mean anything because you've technically "learned" them. Thinking about it like that makes me think there's some pretty bad spaghetti code they'd have to work around (probably from 1.0, at that), and, as a developer myself, I don't envy them for having to deal with all that.
Multi role queuing would be great
For the ability sync: I think the syncing is fine just the abilities need to be redistributed between the levels. All jobs are really backloaded, gaining a ton of spells/skills between lvl 60-80.
Que'ing as any role from any job in a way would be irrelevant as most likely you will be mostly placed as tank or a healer, but as a dps? Maybe 1 out 10 times, therefore, before que'ing you will expect to tank or heal and will just switch to tank or heal before even que'ing.
Jokes on you I already hate blm so my caster melds are perfectly fine 😎
Item mangement overhaul should be on the "10 years system to do list"
Relevant to your tripple tirad grind would be able to se if you have a card when it drops, even only a greed option for when you have it.
Not knowing if you have a card/minion/orchestra makes it so everybody just press need all the time
The level sync thing is something I've wanted for a long time. Having played SWTOR before I came to XIV I know for a fact this is doable by just nerfing potencies for lvl80 skills in lvl50 dungeons, for example. Basically, SWTOR used level sync when you visited lower level planets and, as my main was a Sorcerer, you had access to your level 50 abilities (like Force Storm) at lvl20, they were just synced down to the maximum stat potency for that planet. It never made sense to me why XIV didn't have this, but after playing for a while it all comes back to the underlying 1.0 code… SE is slowly unravelling this, so here's hoping we get synced potencies and can use our lvl90 skills in lvl50 content just at a severely nerfed potency in the future. Oh! this also applied to dungeons, or flashpoints as they are known in space.
Small request: Make it to where battle music doesn’t start in the open world until you actually hit something. I hate running through a zone and the music constantly changes, it’s jarring.
Large request: Make more GCD combos work how they do in PvP. They’re kind of doing this with Gunbreaker in Endwalker but more jobs needs this. More buttons doesn’t mean more complexity, it just means a pain in the ass for controller players and more key binds needed. Same amount of actions, same gameplay, less button bloat.
Again, more buttons DOES NOT = more complexity. That’s a simpleton’s way of thinking.
I want bloodfest to not need a target and only have the in combat requirement like aetherflow.
better Storage system
Notes in friend list since i can't remember who is who (when they change the name or i simply forgot)
