  1. glad you liked this one! tsukuyomi’s trial has a lot of storytelling in the fight itself, its really cool. this is also the third song of three that plays for her (and the only rock song), in the last phase of the fight 🙂

nightbloom and lunacy come before it, nightbloom is a heavier piano and orchestral based song, and lunacy is a gentler piano piece!

  2. Such an incredible song. There's too much to praise about it haha. As for one reason why you might have heard fewer Stormblood songs, a lot of them are more traditionally Japanese or east Asian inspired, or are purely orchestral, so lots of them don't have guitars. The guitars definitely picked up a lot in Shadowbringers

  3. For those who don't know, the chorus section with the male choir uses a similar leitmotif to Cyan's theme from FF6 since this part of the game takes place in Doma, Cyan's home kingdom in FF6.

  4. Stormblood's got some great tracks and what it does well is just as good as other expansions, but you don't hear about it/see it suggested a lot because it's the black sheep of FF14, it feels like a super padded anime filler arc, and being sandwiched between two of the greatest mmo experiences of all time doesn't help people's outlook on it either.

  5. I think this and Sunrise were probably most people's favorite tracks (or at least in Top 5) in the game before Shadowbringers came out. And its still fantastic, no doubt. Such hype!

  6. I don't know much about guitar and music, but the way you can just go along with the music and add another layer to it is amazing. Especially after hearing it only once or a few times. Your rendition is like the extreme difficulty version of the raid music.

    Cheers, man!
