About:
This video is a comparison guide for range DPS for FFXIV. I will talk about FFXIV Bard, FFXIV Machinist, and FFXIV Dancer. Their abbreviations are FFXIV BRD, FFXIV MCH, FFXIV DNC. I will go over the range DPS classes and what you should know to level up your next class. This is a great FFXIV Tutorial for new players and returning players coming from WOW or World of Warcraft, ESO or Elder Scrolls Online and Phantasy Star Online 2. This is not a FFXIV damage rotation guide, or job rotation guide, is a range DPS comparison guide for A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers and Endwalker. You will also see, Gpose being used and mentions of Gshade. I love FFXIV, best MMORPG 2021. I hope this beginner Range DPS Guide helps!

  1. Bard was my first job I got to end game (At the time, level 70) and (at level 80) I still love it. I enjoy all three of the ranged melee but … hey, I'm musical IRL so of course I'm biased. :3 I always felt like Bard was a "Busy" job, and there's a lot to do with them. The procs can be a bit chaotic at times and I don't claim to be the best DPS in the world… but after facing Bard, my friend group was changing and it convinced me to give healing a shot. I thought "If I can keep track of all these buttons, I can heal my friends." I now main White Mage.

  2. I play as a Bard main for 6years now, and the only class i hate with a passion is Dancers, the class that almost entirely destroyed Bards, they almost made my main a boring dps class just for Dancer, and the fact that even now Dancer has a higher Dps with way higher support buffs is a joke at this point, i just hope they make Bard great again in Endwalker, because the last 6 years Bards always gets f ed with almost every patch, this patch i even got called out to come with a Dancer because Bards are shit, so i did what i always do when this happens with Bard, i stop playing high end content entirely because i don't even want to get a chance to find people that call me out because i play the class i love. Most fun class for me will always be Bard, even thought i tryed almost every class in the game, but i always come back to Bard because you have the freedom to move where you want, and do combat on the move, for me this one reason makes Bard the most fun class, I'm the type of guy who loves to have the freedom of movement when fighting, and Bard is all about that freedom, and you always need to manage your skills even thought it looks easy, it's not, because a great Bard will always optimizes on the move to maximize the dots uptime, so you can do more dmg, i see a lot or almost all the Bards always dropping the dots, or spamming refresh even thought they still have 20seconds left to do so… I think right now Bards are the most looked down be far… again:))

  3. I played drg through heavensward and switched to warrior for stormblood. I wanted to try ranged dps so I leveled bard and machinist to 50 and im not sure how I feel. Bard feels fun even with the limited tool kit but it feels like im shooting nerf darts at mobs. Machinist is pretty damn fun but I don't feel like im doing enough damage to make up for the lack of party support. I need to level them up more but I have a feeling I'm going to like machinist more cuz gun and cooler looking armor imo as lame of a deciding factor as that might be

  4. Bard is really fun for me, Machinist is good too but ping is your enemy and Dancer feels so reliable, it's SO simple, super mobile and always useful to the party but it's the one of the 3 that gets boring for me after a while, but great in content you're new to. Like the difference between Red Mage and Black Mage for me.

  5. def gained a sub from this Stef. I was SHOCKED to see your sub number was 4.5 and not 45; legit did a double-take. Calming voice, excellent graphics (not overdone), and your pacing is great. I watched this to decide b/w brd and much, and you sold me on MCH (got to Ishgard last night and unlocked asap!). Will be looking forward to the melee dps one–very interested in trying a SAM, so that's my vote.

  6. Bard was my first job didn’t like much at 60 now almost leveling to 80 dancer I find the rng a bit irritating but I do like supporting my dps more. So after I’m done with my msq I want to level machinist. I want more pew pew big damage always something to do with good mobile go machinist as main or stick with dancer. My secondary is white mage. Please let me know

  7. I have both Dancer and Bard in the works now, thinking that I'd need to make a choice between the two at some point. But you make a compelling case for having both at top level. Thank you for this. And you answered one question I had, whether I needed to be in melee range for the aoe skills. Thanks for that as well.
