Don't get down. The story isn't going anywhere. Enjoy it at your pace. I hope people respect your request. I am not in Endwalker yet, but I imagine there is a lot of excitement people want to share.
Maybe provide a place for them? A discord and organize one in January to start talking spoilers with your community. I hope you don't have to close your messages

I'm on one solo msq quest that for 2 days I've been dc'ed during cs and it's taken at least an hour to get back on. Eagerly awaiting next patch so those issues can be fixed. Me and another FC member are ahead of the rest, but no, I don't give names and crack vague jokes.
Hey Brian, I commented on one of your previous videos a while back talking about how it really hurt my viewer experience whenever one of the guests on the show was talking and an interruption would occur. I would like to say that I haven't seen it nearly as much as before, and I've definitely had a better time just listening in and watching your videos on the side while I game. Idk if you saw my comment and truly took it to heart, but nevertheless it has elevated my viewer experience. We may not see eye to eye on every topic, but it's nice seeing other people's pov.
That being said, it definitely sucks that we aren't able to hop on to play due to queue times. It's understandable, but sucks nonetheless. The beauty of this game is that it's made without the philosophy of FOMO, which sadly a lot of other games I enjoy employ. Go ahead and take your time with it and later when you get through it, I'd be glad to hear your side and perspective of the story coming to an end. It's safe to say that this story means a lot to plenty of players, and having to avoid spoilers at this time is very stress inducing. Hopefully your community can respect this and be cautious with what they share with others. Myself who only started playing this game at the end of 2020, am eagerly anticipating the end of this journey I started and the new adventures that team at FFXIV will show us. I don't think it's rude to ask people to keep their thoughts to themselves.
if you want to talk about it, talk to your actual friends who play the game, and if you don't have any, find a spoiler discussion chat on a community forum or something.
It's not hard to not be a raging sperg.
Nothing about the story, I’m an Aussie so holding out for the oce servers in 6.1… atm I’m taking it slow as my friends are out with irl stuff we’ve been on the jp servers and for Aussie prime time I generally get a queue of about 20-30.
I see too many people nowadays wkth the logic “its your fault for looking online” or something along those lines
I'm really sorry to see that you would need to make this video at all. In my FC, leadership made a request to refrain from spoiling ahead of EA launch.
In my FC it's absolutely no spoiler for sprouts and we don't mention anything on main chat cause we got so many WoW sprouts nowadays
Some youtubers I like watching ffxiv reactions of started posting their vids of Endwalker with msq images for thumbnails and I just had to unsub from them all for now. I couldn’t risk seeing anything spoilery when I can barely get into the game just to level a reaper and only made it to the first new zone…

I've heard people have datamined the game and intentionally been sending random /tell to people with spoilers.
Given some troglodyte on Facebook named himself Iron Man Sacrifices Himself at the End of Endgame and went around posting in MCU stuff, like months before the movie came out. I find this to be true. Some people should've been swallowed by their mothers.
I have not gotten to EndWalker. But I'm deeply worried about the word End in the title… just saying.
I've had a major struggle with this. It's kind of a problem that's swung in the opposite direction now. The spoiler spewing community seems to be getting more respectful overall, but a lot of the streaming community is so averse to it that they are lashing out even for things that had nothing to do with a spoiler. I had an incident (wont name names, the fault is just as much mine as this person's) but I was trying to protect this person from spoilers because others were skirting the line. They caught part of my message asking to restrict chat, accused me directly of backseat spoiling and spent nearly 5 minutes yelling at me for something I didn't do. I then was harassed in whispers/DMs, etc for over 3 hours by 73 separate people covering the range of "go away" to "kill yourself" (I also had 5 or so people reach out and tell me they understood when I was saying and were upset that it was handled bad.) I owned my mistake of poor choice of words (i didnt think it was a poor choice of words, at least if they would have seen both of my comments, but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt and owning it anyway) and reached out to a mod just to apologize and see if I couldn't at the very least get that person to tell their viewers to stop harassing me. I was ignored by that mod, and another shortly after, and by the creator themselves. My mistake is my mistake, but to turn a blind eye to rampant harassment over a misunderstanding THEY were culpable in as well was……disheartening. My point for this wall of text: This whole situation is out of control, and some of the streamers are becoming part of the problem, not the solution. (It's never been you. I've had nothing but perfect experiences in your chat and from you.)

What aggravates me… people were shouting spoilers in every zone. Luckily, unless my FC or /w sound affect goes off, I usually dont look at chat. I didnt even look at chat during duty finder activities in case someone would decide to spoil things in there. What thrill do people get from spoiling stories?
Wow man, I totally relate to this. I've been swamped with work (contracts wrapping up, new hire, holidays to work around), kids have been sick, and when I had a couple hours to kill they were all spent in queue. Been avoiding streamers and everything because I am really invested in this game's story. Been playing since FFXI launch, FFXIV 1.0, and now my daughter plays with me too. Hopefully things get smoother, because we can only avoid spoilers for so long.
