MINOR CORRECTION: Requiescat for Paladin is CONSUMED and should be used for the Blade of Faith, Blade of Truth and Blade of Valor actions to boost their damage. My bad!
Dont know if you overlooked it or miscommunicated it but it should be pointed out that now Royal Authority is PLDs ONLY 3 hit combo finisher. Goring blade has been revamped to be a OCGD
As a war/mch main I can't wait to try this out once I get off work
WAR 6.3 shake it off goes from ultimate self esuna to now Succor/Medica/Medica 2 moonlighting as a blue healer further.

MCH changes, hypercharge has stacks FINALLY. 6 hits for Wildfire very nice but why cant it still be an aoe? Its a blast of dynamite lol.
PLD changes wowzers
divinemight get back into itthe quality of life for mechinist is great and the buffs are a good start but still no reason to take them over dancer or bard T_T
They're finally doing something to MCH that makes sense, I'm so excited. SGE change is great too, should feel so nice. Now I'm just hoping BLM gets some love, some way to stop being chained to SMN and RDM in the near future, but overall, this seems like really solid changes.
I main sage atm and I am so grateful for the addersting addition via aoe shield popping (from me only but I'll definitely not complain) so much more movement :>
MNK's riddle of Earth is mega nerfed I'm somewhat annoyed but slightly understanding on why they did it
Was hoping for a middle ground of 60s CD, not 120s
I've only play Monk once in a while.. Since I'm not a Monk main, not too sure about Monk.. I personally feel the Riddle of Earth is nerfed..
While 20% reduction is nice, but with only 10s duration and 120s cooldown.. I think the stacks is nicer..
Is there even a reason to use requiescat on holy spirit/holy circle anymore ?
I just got into the game and I'm about to get to the point where I can switch to the job i want to play (machinist). hearing he got a big buff is exciting, although i wont notice it since I didn't play him before it.
Now don't get me wrong, RoE was busted because of its availability. Far better than third eye and shade shift. Similar to how warrior holmgang was the best ult while it could still cheat tankbusters. You didn't need RoE for 5s, you needed it for 1 hit. Maybe 2. Missed heal/mit? Worse gear? No problem. You will live. Every relevant mechanic you could use it. Big PF clutch skill.
Pld rework is bad. Mch is still bad just fixed issues that should have been fixed last expansion.
I do believe that wildfire could be stacked 7 times
The trick was Heat blast has 5 charges, when you are getting in your 120s, you start with the first heat blast -> wild fire -> 4 heat blast (in between you have to Gaussround and ricochet) -> Any 2 times OGCd or combo
(Weapon skill and Heat blast would give +1 stack to wildlife, ricochet and Gauss round do not give more stacks to wildfire explosion)
If wild fire is now set to a 6 stack instead of 7, you lost a 200 potency from wild fire, meaning that in your 120s you will lose a bit of damage, but for the rest of your rotation, you should recover without stop
Any fight that (making the boss invulnerable for cutscene ecc) delay a time over 30 second or similar, would make you lose over others dps
If I'm wrong, this post would be forgotten and removed from my doubts, however, we might still see wildlife coming back at 7 stack and keeping those buffs as well, or, small nerf in a couple's of abilities instead

Something I noticed you didn't mention, they changed the effect of "Fight or Flight" from "Increases Physical Damage Dealt" to just "Increases Damage Dealt" I would assume that means that it can affect our spell now, probably so it can affect the holy spirit cast we will be doing all the time now

Now they just need to make Assize have 2 stacks and nourish the blood lilly and im a happy mog
Need to test PLD but I really don't like the changes to Divine Veil. Why is job interplay in XIV like this frowned upon thing? Why even play an MMO if you don't want jobs to interact. A really unnecessary change.
As someone trying to solo potd with MCH for about a week now, this information pleases me.
I think the best utility other than combat revive is Expedience. The mass sprint is excellent. And we really need that with how dominant and oppressive the new Sage healer is.

Ugh, I don’t like the fact that WAR got a heal buff with Shake it Off. It wasn’t necessary.
PLD looks okay on paper.
SGE got some decent changes though. I’m glad. Might play it again.
When I was reading the patch note and reached MCH i was like "hell girl…" (the mch from my roster is a girl). She gains so much potency that I could litterally replace 5-10 maleficient for heals in DSR and it wouldn't affect our rdps.
But then I saw Dismantle… My first thought "… wait what???"
Then I look at BRD's Minne rework and I'm like… it's gonna be 2min… we're gaining a 2min 10% mitigation… o m f g…
After 3 patches of feeling useless, she's finally meta.

Sage and whm dps getting lots of love recently, and the palading rework, damn I love it.
Holy spirit is not a combo breaker so I can just store a beefy ranged attack, and is super beefy during requiescat
Goring blade is now actually usefull not just a minor dps gain
Confiteor combo now will hit like a truck, so good to see big damage on the most holy looking ability in the game.
Gratefull for the machinist buffs too, its kind of huge
I'll admit I'm a little worried that the casters are going to get left in the dust at this rate. They already didn't have all that much of a lead on phys. ranged

The machinist changes bring a tear to my high.
I only recently leveled Machinist to level 52 and was really loving it. The way things flowed seemed fun, but I couldn't help but notice it felt weak at times and survivability was rough on tougher enemies in the open world. Then I saw multiple sources online saying it was the weakest class and lack any utility. I deterred me from continuing it and started other classes. This update, however, has me excited for the buffs and I'm going to return to it and stick with it.
It would still be nice for DPS classes do get a self-regen skill or something because second wind doesn't do much and has a long timer on it.
Im happy about the monk change to riddle of earth, monk has always been one of my favorite final fantasy classes, they can hit hard, take a lot of damage and had healing skills which took some weight off the healer, ive always been sad that ff14 never reflected this about the class, but now we finally have a skill that does all that at once while also not making it so we dont need a healer, so yeah nice change.

Taking a bunch of 45 second skills down to 40 seconds is great, because you’ll now fit 3 cleanly per 2-minute window and have one up when the next window starts. On the flip side, they’re now going to misalign with any 90-second skills. I’m assuming they’re gonna adjust those in the future.
BLM/SMN is my main and I decided to gear up Machinist for the next one. I am close to BIS for it and I am glad I chose it now lol.
One day warriors will get their much needed nerf and drk knight their fair love.
My first thought seeing Dismantle: “If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball!”
This 5 second Buffs are there, so it fits better into the 2minute bursts. 40 seconds x3 = 2mins
Mch changes are soooooo gorgeous!
I'm not sure how the heck the paladin changes are awesome when we are now back to hardcasting Holy Spirit to re-align our buffs. Like, it's somehow a more flexible rotation while needing 5 GCDs to set up it's burst as you would like to get TWO divine might buffed Holy Spirits in there, but it doesn't stack. So it's even stricter than before.
Obviously the people that don't even bother to play PLD would be happy while PLD mains are just left deciding on whether they should switch jobs or deal with the additional jank.
Mch still needs more smh. We didn't need dismantle. This just shows now they will put mch back to a utility physical range role. Not long let a greedy dps role. Smh it's a lazy way of saying we don't know what to do with mch.
Mch never did fulfill the "selfish dps" fantasy. The buffs are nice, but still no reason to take mch over a bard or dancer
