  1. For WoW players, Trust system is like running Shadowlands dungeons with Jaina, Thrall, Bolvar, and Baine NPCs.
If the FF team had Shadowlands they'll probably allow special msq dungeon trusts that allow Kaelthas, Vashj, Uther, and Ysera

  2. I personally don't think the trust system would be good for WoW I think we need to flatten the social difficulty curve and get people to form connections to other players more easily instead of replacing it

  3. First time in each dungeon i did it with Trust just so i could learn fights and observe mechanics with the NPCs. After that it's gotta be with players just for speed and efficiency alone

  4. I did every dungeon the first time with Trusts. Doesn't matter if it's slower, i'm playing an MMO. My time is already worthless, so taking 20-30 minutes instead of 10-15 isn't a big deal lol.

  5. I love the Trust system, I only wish I could have used it more leveling. The AI plays better than I do so I take my cues from them. I'm guessing if they're expanding the system in some way it would be more unique character interactions and VO. If you think about it in FF terms I would look at how they handle AI fights in their single player RPGs.

  6. The problem of the current Trust system is the NPC won't AOE which takes a long time to kill trash packs. However, based on some content creators who jointed the media tour said the trust system improved in EW. Looking forward to it.

  7. FF14 will go the same way wow did. when i started playing wow 17 years ago it was all the same things being portrayed. They will become more important than their fans. and I'm waiting for them to announce their replacement for ff14 next year, its not going to go down well.

  8. The trust system was something they implemented in FFXI first as a means to allow the players to solo through content that veteran players didn't want to go back and do all the time and because of the dwindling player population. The biggest difference is that you can use the trust NPCs even in regular world content/quests. In FFXIV the world content quests are designed as a solo experience right away so that is not necessary. They also played around with the NPCs in the dungeons before trust were implemented fully with the Squadrons in the GC questline. I really like the idea of the trusts for regular dungeons as it allows for a number of things:

    1. You can go at your own pace. – Lets you really take in the scenery and experience of the dungeon and learn mechanics for various fights without pressure or feeling like you are holding others up.
    2. You can try main and alt jobs and practice for both mechanics and learning rotations in an actual fight rather than just against the practice dummies.
    3. It lets you avoid the long queue times for roles that might have unbalanced population. Typically this applies to mainly DPS jobs as the queue times could get much longer.
    4. Lore-wise it can give a little more dialog and context to the FF story fighting along side those NPCs that are by your side.

I really hope they continue to expand/implement the trust system to cover all of the legacy dungeons at some point as well as continuing to implement it for future content.

  9. I will say I don't like anything that encourages players to run it with their trust instead of going into duty finder completely blind, but I'm a healer main, it's literally just that my job is directly more fun when people don't know what they're doing

  10. Just started practicing WHM with controller and the trust system is literally perfect for that. I’m not inconveniencing groups while I learn and can practice without having the stress of letting people down. It also allows you to learn mechanics beforehand. Didn’t think I would like it but now I see it’s a very helpful system. Thumbs up

  11. Not only do the Trust members have their unique dialogue, SE also programmed their personalities into their combat AI – like how Alisaie goes for the LB as soon as she can or how Alphinaud prioritizes raising Alisaie if she goes down.

  12. I love the Trust System and would wish they could figure out away of implementing it earlier into the game. I deal with Social Anxiety and depression big time, so being able to run dungeons at my own pace is great. There are times I feel like I'm running a Mythic+ even in FF XIV when I had to group because you have no idea if the tank is going to run and grab all the trash or when it's time to actually stop and attack mobs. Also, I'm always a big fan of more option on how a person can play an MMO overall. I actually love Dungeons and the challenge of them, yet due to previously stated issues I'm not a huge fan of pugging.

  13. The dumbest thing in WoW, seeing Illidain, The Prophet, and Magni being fucking spectators for the Coven of Shivarra fight. We have these all powerful NPCs and they just fucking stand there.

  14. If they had this system right down to the beginning dungeon at level 18 or so I'd subscribe in a heartbeat. As it stands, due to to the story being locked behind unskippable dungeons (as as much as I enjoyed the game up until that point) it's a pass for me.

  15. I like the Trust system in theory, but I didn't like it in practice. Unpopular theory, I know. My experience stems mainly from the need to level the allies to open up access to the higher level ShB duties, and I personally DESPISE the first two ShB Trust duties. Also really didn't like the forced Ally fights in ShB, especially using classes I don't like or have no interest in; even if they are slimmed down 3 button rotation versions.

  16. This is the kind of crap I expect blizzard to play with but no they don’t give two shits about the average player and that’s why FF continues to stand out over WoW and more and more are discovering that during this wow decline

  17. I once sacrificed a 250+ hrs game save so I could have tidus successfully learn the jecht shot. it is an op trick shot that ignores two defenders and then scores. blitz ball was so fun I became obsessed, good times.

  18. Pretty sure the boy band Yoshida-san is talking about is TOKIO Dash-mura (or Dash village). They pretty much made a farm from scratch by building everything themselves, gardens, buildings, etc.
Unfortunately with the Fukushima power plant disaster they had to stop the series, changing it to visiting other farms instead.

  19. My own problem with a lot of stuff like salad and vegetables isn't the taste, it's the texture. As well as like… temperature differences. Eating a hot burrito and suddenly cold lettuce freaks the me the fuck out and I've never been able to separate it in my mind other than 'aah something is wrong'

  20. I generally only use my Trust system for the 71 and 73 dungeons cause it helps not having to deal with people that get the boost to 70 and have no idea how to play their job. I'd rather not deal with that headache.
