  1. "Didn't she attack me while I was leveling my bard?" ruuuuude smh just because it's true in Limsa plaza doesn't mean the rest of Eorzea's catgirls look the same!

  2. Ah! Ilberd finally got what he wanted. The red flags for Papalymo were so loud! Well done on getting this far, even if the destination has been full of sorry. This series of events was really just so dark. I appreciate that they didn't shy away from the horror of it though. And you were right, yeeting the eyes was not a great idea. Heavensward was such a journey, I hope Stormblood has many marvels for you too!

  3. Yeah, there's not much one can say after this… Though I didnt quite feel heartbroken when Papalymo "did the thing" (after all, he and Yda were gone for so long…), what comes after is still a classic "get your heart ripped out and shredded to pieces without the chance of having it fixed with bandaids and stiches". Dont worry, it'll keep happening, so… keep those tissues close.

  4. On the eyes of Nidhogg thing:

    1. Below that bridge in the abyss is a raging storm of corrupted ice and wind aether, meaning that if you take a single step into that your dead in seconds so its a lot safer place for the eyes than you think. Course the fact that the MSQ doesn't mention this little DETAIL is one of the very few mistakes made in Heavenswards writing.

    2. It's kinda hard to keep dangerous objects safe when your facing a shadowy organization of immortal beings who have been shown to be masters of teleportation magic. Heck one of the trials happens because Minfilia gets kidnapped by an ascian in our homebase even.

    3. As for destroying the eyes at this point those things are rather sturdy. People seem to have forgotten this, but when we killed Nidhogg the first time Estinian literally tore the eye out of the dragons socket and had it stabbed through like it was a martini olive on a toothpick.

Apologies for the rant. People who I've seen get to this point never seemed to think about this stuff before saying we screwed up and it always got on my nerves. So if I overstepped my bounds, I am sorry.

Grats on getting this far though.

  5. Ahh Hyura you're pretty good at recognising story cues when they're dropped, i missed a few at this point in the game myself.

in regards to 9:30 'how the fuck is that possible; the npc marauderer used a phoenix down! They're a final fantasy staple but in 14 can't be used during combat, which is why he didnt revive him earlier 🙂

  6. About the revive by the marauder, you can buy Phoenix Feathers on the market to revive people, but only out of combat. It's not useful but you know why a Marauder is able to revive someone now 🙂
Rest in peace, to the strongest Lalafel of the realm, after Tataru. (We all know she's the final boss, let's face it)
Next episode is gonna break you again btw, prepare those tissues man.
Also i'll explain a bit more about what Ilberd did and what he summoned next time, cause there's a really interesting lore about the summoning that's not directly explained in the MSQ and that helps understand the concept of Primal entities. But talking about it know wouldn't make much sense and might spoil something.

  7. If you were wondering what happens if you pick the “Stay by Papalymo’s side” option: He pretty much blasts you onto the ship, which makes Thancred’s “I think he means now!” even more fitting in my opinion lol. Also I see that you too appreciate M’Naago, very nice.

  8. I picked the same response. Trust in Papalymo. 😭 He was my favorite scion since 1.0, I was so upset

Btw if this video is caught up and you haven't advanced much in the story yet, look to the sky above Baelsar's Wall before you move forward… It was there for months between patches. Looming. 😰

  9. Seeing those scenes when you witnessed the ending of 1.0 is giving such goosebombs. Answers being sung like that last happened when Bahamut brought the previous calamity to the world. And Dalamud was built to contain him.
What gave him enough time to summon the people 5 years to the future

  10. Papalymo didn't get to shine much up until his end there unless you'd played 1.0, but his loss is still painful for the reminder that this is just how ALL of the Scions are: they will gladly die to protect the world and the people on it whom they love, if there is no other option. That's the kind of path these people are walking, a path of self-sacrifice. And it really does make you worry for the futures of those who yet live.
