  1. The reason that you don't often see healing in cutscenes is because all healing magic does in this game is to speed up the body's natural healing ability. If a wound or disease would be lethal without medicine or serious medical aid (i.e. surgery), healing magics won't do anything.

  2. My problem with people talking cap about the shanty town in front of eulmore is every one of them could be accepted at the crystarium if they were willing to go but they want that promise of paradise.

  3. I freaking adored this hahaha, and I love that you pointed out some of the things I and so many people thought of back then:

Like healing! I mained Scholar but I believe the lore behind healing was locked more behind white mage than any other and they finally addressed it for anyone who wasn't in the know: healing speeds up your natural ability to heal but it can't create miracles. Some illnesses and injuries are too advanced for your body to fix alone even with a boost, which is why a certain companion gets it-organs have been destroyed and a wound large enough that it can't be closed on its own has formed. (irl example, tons of wounds require surgery because our bodies just can't pull the wound together if its too large) Even at lvl 90, the only way you could save them is if you could replace EVERYTHING that that attack vaporized…and only a miracle beyond anyone anywhere could.

Eulmore and Gatetown freaked me out at first, specially why they wont go to the Crystarium to start over. But it hit me when you get thrown out-the world has ended already! The heroes they revered caused it, with the very same blessing of light that we cherish, and the folks here were "unlucky" enough to be left with the wreckage. At this point, we're just a nobody not lucky enough to have the golden ticket or the sense to try and get one…now if they had something new to look forward too…

And the power of art! It makes the world beautiful, worth living in, and worth fighting for. A world where art was drowned out by whats practical and efficient would be so fucking lifeless…

  4. the Chais are one of my favorite side character npcs that I ended up buying the SHB artbook just to get their minion, I love their growth as a couple and as people of the first.

  5. Man. That stream was amazing. I had a feeling crazy stuff would happen once you reach the Beehive but I didn't expect the whole stream to completely derail at that point. I was absolutely laughing my ass off when you guys were looking for a vacant table and the only one left had a half-naked lalafel dancing on top of it.

  6. Vauthry is, ironically, kind of justified to rule – he is very likely freely elected (even if only there's no real competitors), and actually does something to benefit Eulmore. He has no leadership or management skills, and he's disgusting, but he's very much the reason Eulmore gets to be Eulmore.

  7. When I first met the Chai's I expected them to turn out to be evil. And having finished ShB, I just want to say:

I AM SO SORRY DULIA! I AM SO SORRY I EVER BELIEVED THAT YOU COULD BE EVIL!

AHEM…. I will keep it at that.
