Nvidia Filters for FFXIV – Revisited | Make it crisp/save Performance

Don’t worry, no Lalas were hurt, nor “fantasia’d” during this video.
We do love our Lalas as crisp and crunchy as we like our Catgirls !
And I also replied to my lovely Chat, after this little explanation 😉

  2. Hey man love your content.. I'm curious do you stream and record using Monitor capture or game capture? Also does this seem to have less effect on cpu/gpu vs gshade?
    Thanks for the content!

  3. Sucks this isnt't on AMD. But i'm really happy with Gshade. For me it eats up none or about 20fps at worst. Still worth it imo. I also like that you can hide the UI from the preset.

  5. Did you know that Ansel can run ReShade effects? It's basically the same trick. But with Nvidia's own code. And some anti cheat limitation.
And many said GShade were performance impact. It's not true. GShade itself does nothing impact the performance just like ReShade and Ansel. But the preset that bundle with it does. If you enable just 4 effects like in Ansel on GShade. It's the same performance impact. In the same way, If you enable effects that were use in GShade preset on Ansel, It will do the same to performance too (And don't think it's impossible. You can put ReShade shaders and textures file into Ansel folder and those effects will just work on Ansel)

ReShade doesn't bundle the preset but it's basically the same program as GShade but different branch (ReShade is the main one). While Ansel has no functioning preset feature. Even those 3 settings got lost once in a while.

  6. Hey, nice vid.
If u dont want to setup gilters from the begining everytime u re updating drivers. Then dont use express instalation/easy instalation( it does clear instal of driver, thats why it deletes your settings)
Chose costum instalation/expert instalation option and un-mark the "clear install my driver"

  7. It’s really weird because the way it looks with the filters is how I thought it looked the whole time.

It wasn’t until I added filters I realized the truth. Now without the filters all I see is grey xD.

This revelation to me is like getting 40 insight in bloodborne. It’s unreal.

  8. I don't know if this is just me, but the recent NVIDIA driver update seems to have changed how some of the filter settings look. I had to input the values after the update again and I referenced a photo I had taken of my previous settings. However, it seems to look a bit different. Specifically, it looks quite a bit too bright, and when looking at the darker and black areas, it looks like gamma is up a bit too much. I've been tweaking settings the past couple of days and I can't seem to get it to match what I had before. None of my display settings were changed either. It only happened right after installing the new driver. Not sure if anyone else has this issue…

  10. Man, I'm really struggling with an edge shimmering issue right now and I figured with the knowledge you have, maybe you could point me in the right direction. So I'm running my game at 1080p Fullscreen on an RTX 2070s and a Ryzen 7 and I pretty much get the same FPS on max as I do on medium. The grass, trees, and foliage are "shimmering" a lot to the point where even if everything else looks great, the shimmering makes the game look bad overall. I've had the same problem on just one other game, Escape From Tarkov, but other than that I can run all other games on high-max and everything looks great. My friend tells me it sounds like an anti-aliasing problem but I have no idea how to fix it. I have FXAA on in the menu as it slightly reduces shimmering but it's just not enough. Thanks for the video, I will definitely mess around with my NVIDIA shaders once I get my artifacting issue solved.

  11. Hey, I have an issue. The speaking parts sound like they are whispering in another room, and you can tell there is someone talking, but you can’t make out what they are saying. I have disabled countless options, and tried all the fixes but nothing works, so do you know how to fix this issue? It’s with and without headphone on windows desktop
