  1. Yes, the best and saddest moment in Stormblood. Shadowbringers is my favorite expansion but this still remain one of the most emotional moment in the game for me personally. We were so close to a happy ending for everyone even Yotsuyu, but Asahi came and ruined all

  2. @Albsterz Those two music tracks that played during the one hour mark are actually from FFXIV 1.0, and you can actually hear them in the Palace of the Dead sometimes.

    "Enraptured" was the first one.

"Emerald Labyrinth" was the second one.

  3. Hingashi is inspired by Japan. Kugane is inspired by the Japanese city of Nagasaki. Doma is inspired by China. The Azim Steppe is inspired by Mongolia. But many Doman traditions are Japanese not Chinese, with archetypal Japanese stuff like samurai, ninja, kimono, mikoshi shrines, shamisen music, and dango. Tsuki no usagi (月の兎), or rabbit in the moon, is an intrinsic part of Japanese folklore. Sailor Moon's name in Japanese/East Asian order, Tsukino Usagi (月野うさぎ), is a pun on rabbit in the moon. That's why Tsukuyomi has bunny ears. The lunar rabbit-like races – the Loporrits in Final Fantasy XIV and their inspiration, the Hummingway in Final Fantasy IV, reflect this Japanese belief.

  4. Consider this Yotsuyu’s form of penance. She knew for once in her life the kindness of others. Kindness and genuine care from someone. She wanted it. She truly did. But she knew all too well it was a lie that she couldn’t live. She had remembered and that pain is too great to let go for a lie. She also knew the best thing to make peace was to find a way to atone, but not before taking her final revenge. What she did was essentially force our hand to kill her. She actually felt remorse in a way for the suffering she caused. Not going to say it was right or wrong of her, but she chose to do this and she was at peace with it. Her suffering is at an end. And the one person who mattered to her mourned her. Tragedy at its finest.
