5 Things I Miss Most About FFXIV

I’ve to grips with the fact that I miss FFXIV. There’s a lot of things that I enjoyed when I played last, but this is a list of 5 (6?) of them.

Final Fantasy XIV is a very well constructed MMORPG, with a beginning levelling experience that surpasses any other MMO on the market. That doesn’t mean that I don’t have any complaints however…

Final Fantasy XIV is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by Square Enix. Directed and produced by Naoki Yoshida, it was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3 in August 2013, as a replacement for the failed 2010 version of the game, with support for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and macOS releasing later. Final Fantasy XIV takes place in the fictional land of Eorzea, five years after the events of the original 2010 release. At the conclusion of the original game, the primal dragon Bahamut escapes from its lunar prison to initiate the Seventh Umbral Calamity, an apocalyptic event which destroys much of Eorzea. Through the gods’ blessing, the player character escapes the devastation by time traveling five years into the future. As Eorzea recovers and rebuilds, the player must deal with the impending threat of invasion by the Garlean Empire from the north.

  1. I think you basically feel what all of us did and do. I've played a lot of MMOs. In most, I wold get to cap and unsub till the next content drop. With 14, I haven't unsubbed since I started. Even while waiting for SHB or EW. I might not actually play as much, but it's always there.
The music… it hits everyone different. Alex Moukala, Huskybythegeek, Jesse's Auditorium (never played FF14) and many others. And the collaborations, and Soken reacting to covers of his own music and getting 1400 singers to do Close in the Distance. Just amazing.

  2. Fears happen, it's natural when it often happens. As a community we understand that things with XIV & in general is alot. I feel that's mainly because for the most part your audience is the older generations so we get that feeling of fear. We all understand we each need a break at certain points. Hence why even though you had a long break, we're still here.
We're still gonna be here for ya Kro, supporting you along the way 😊

  3. Annoys me when I've put down a game long ago, and decided to never go back only to watch a video like this that gives me the urge to dive back in. I barely scratched the surface of FFXIV, and I feel i missed out on a lot.

  4. The music is so addictive I can't stop listening to it even if I don't play the game as much. I think Soken is becoming such a legend like John Williams, so you can't escape his tracks they are stuck in your head forever 😀

  5. The best part of the game for me is how easy it is to stop and give myself time to actually miss things about it. I like how it clears up to me what I actually like in the game and what I don't care about. I do this constantly and only play when I get the urge to or have the time to. So different from when I played MMOs before where it consumed my life and almost caused me to flunk out of school.

  6. There are already some excellent music reactors to FFXIV's soundtrack. The best 2 I can recommend are Jesse's Auditorium and MarcoMeatball (a former opera singer!). Both give great comments on the music and neither play the game itself.

  7. That tataru tea comment made me realized they knew. They absolutely knew people would leave. The story was intense and we needed a break. They knew we'd be back and when we did, it was with tea.
