Playing through FFXIV Heavensward for the first time! We have tracked down Iceheart and the heretics for the Holy See and received news from Ul’Dah regarding Raubahn, but now as Ishgard once again faces attack from the Dravanians, things may not be as they seem! Hope you enjoy!

The voice changes are a bit jarring at first but they are worth it, they are so much better done than ARR voices.
by the way, you might have had a quest that gives you an aether compass (you will find it in your collections under the duty menu). You can drag the compass to your hot bar and when you activate it, it will tell you locations of other aether currents. get them all and do all the blue quests you see on the map then you will be able to fly. You can see your progress by going to the travel menu and choosing aether currents.
"No WAY"
Yes way XD
Here we gooo~
You'll get used to the voice changes. They don't change anymore after this.
Merlwyb's old voice is one of the few I really miss 🙂
13:20 — I like to think of the Bard's dots as… corrosive substances, that over time wear down steel and stone ^.^
15:40 — Might as well get used to it: cannocally, we rarely if kill anyone. Most of the time, its a thorough beating with several bruises and maybe a broken bone or ten. But nothing fatal 😀
53:22 — Pretty sure there's more to it, but yeah… it seems to work for them ^^°
I think Estinien will grow on you, even if hes an asshole in dragoon quests. Cant wait for next episode.
OH SHIT SUBSCRIBED I NEED TO WATCH THIS PLAYTHROUGH.
Giving the eye back would make things much, much worse. He would still seek his eternal revenge for his sister, but now have twice the might to carry it out.
The Eye gives Estinien power but also makes him vulnerable to Nidhogg's influence. When you fought him in the Dragoon quests it was because Nidhogg was controlling him. If you had done the Dragoon quests before meeting him in the MSQ he would have told you that he was in control of himself again and you didn't need to worry about being attacked again.
Btw, when using Wanderer's Minuet it's better to wait for all 3 lights on the gauge before using Pitch Perfect for more damage (unless Minuet is about to wear off, in which case use whatever procs you have before you lose them)
watching you become more and more invested in these characters is great. Man are you in for a ride.
I did the dragoon quest long after I finished Heavensward but yeah, I can see how Estinien wouldn't sit well with people if you do it before the expansion. He's essentially an extra grumpy Batman in that one.
Also, the boing sound caught me off guard once more and made me lose it, well played sir.
I'm the same as others, I really miss Merlwyb's old voice. I am used to her new one now and it's very good, but it's not quite the same vibe.
Really good stuff happening in the story here! Your reaction to the sultana and Lolorito storyline was great. I also love the dynamic of Alphi, Estinian, and Iceheart/Ysayle here. I heard the FF team was trying to bring the feeling of the older games in this part, where you'd travel with a party of four.
This is where Final Fantasy story begins proper. No more meandering – more focus and reason.
I subscribed. Looking forward to the next one! Heavensward has SUCH a good story!
