  1. I played wow since late 2004 on us release time, after pandarea I tried hard and hard to go hardcore with raiding or pvp, the game just doesn't click like before with me.
Whil I put over 50 days in my level 60 priest in classic wow, kept my subscription for one year 9 months the lo gest I have ever kept it was for classic wow.

  2. Its really sad to see. Blizzard was a staple company who you knew was going to release something great. Its just sad how much they keep ignoring the problems WoW has. Blizzard has the power to revive the game but they just don't want to, at least the guys in charge don't.

  3. I've tried FFXIV, and couldn't get into it. I'm really not a fan of eastern-style graphics, and I found the combat to be very slow and clunky. Sticking with TBC classic.

  4. I mean during classic in phase one I completed the quest that awarded that neck piece that was pre raid best in slot and the quest bugged out and failed to complete. Being alliance and it being an escort quest I was basically at the whim of horde griefers to even get the quest completed in the first place. Though after multiple attempts I finally got a clear on the escort again after roughly 10 tries and again the quest bugged out for me but it didn't ever the other 4 people that were in my group this time so I was left stuck unable to again. After about a week I finally found another group to clear the escort quest but this time I recorded my screen from when I started the quest to when it should of completed and it bugged out again.

It was at this time that I finally opened up a ticket with Blizzard with this issue and provided screencaps from the first 2 attempts and then the full recording of it failing to complete the third time.

My ticket resolved with Blizzard threating to ban me if I opened another ticket after they refused to help me in any way shape or form (which was after a month long wait to even be contacted in the first place)

    FUCK BLIZZARD.

  5. I'M CONVINCED. That ACTI-BLIZZ is killing Blizzards IPs so they can turn them into mobile games and ship them off to China. Why else, just milk their loyal fans and not care a single '&%^ about the game..

  6. I really cant understand how you still promote WoW/Blizzard, the games might be fun but with so much shady behaviour and business strategies by Blizzard/Activision, unignorable !!!!

  7. The amount of Shadowlands content is not as clear, since many people don't consider the fact a fair chunk of it is divided into 4 parts/covenants. But yea, WoW got my attention since vanilla to WotLK, then WoD for 3 weeks and Shadowlands for 2 months. Stuff like time-gating the story campaign to force people to be subbed for longer? Nah man, just nah.

  8. Players are just too tired of Blizzard that they finally decided to give FF14 a real shot, we won't see the result immediately but that is definitely something very bad for Blizzard and especially at the time new MMOs and a new FF14 extension is releasing soon when WoW doesn't really have any new content to share for the next months.

  9. It is good to see wow content creators, giving it a try, I was burned out of 9.0 and started FF14 after ripping thru tbc leveling and seeing the BG ques at max level…I don’t think I’m coming back to wow for any extended period other than (maybe) xpacs and honestly I’m not angry at blizzard. I think that is the biggest difference that someone like zeppla puts well, we are leaving cause we are happier with the new GF not cause we hate the ex

  11. Having not been subbed to WoW for a few months (active sub since Burning Crusade) and having a current active sub for FF14, There are a couple things I miss from WoW. I actually miss fetch quests and collecting bear asses. With FF14, I feel like I'm just is a huge conversation loop with various NPC's and maybe a dungeon every once in a while. I honestly don't feel very attached to my character at the moment because of that implication. But the combat is engaging when I do get to use it and the player base is a good bit less toxic, which is a plus in my book.

  12. I'm honestly loving the raiding in Shadowlands. I basically just raid-log to push progression with my guild, they're the only reason I still pay for a sub. The daily/weekly loops weren't too bad but now that I've tried to play another class, the catch up on them while maintaining my main character is just ridiculous. There's just so much to do to stay viable in end game content. I used to love pvp but I just don't have the time to even dabble in it anymore what with now needing to do so much more Tor'ghast on an alt character, let alone the other junk.

  13. at some point, wow will go free to play
weapons and armors will have upgrade mechanics
and finally obviously… p2w mechanics like good old asian mmos…

and that will be the dead of it…

  14. I'm not going to state anything about which is better game, because I truly think that wow and ffxiv should NOT be compared apples to apples, rather compare aspects of the games against each other (ie. pvp in wow vs ffxiv).

  15. Want a prediction what will happen with FFXIV ? Guess what happened, they got a big temporary infusion of western players. Some will just play it for a bit of time, like it happens with all games, then stop. And the rest that remains, let's face it, they will bring the toxic behavior to FFXIV, cause , wow, they did same thing in WoW also. Please, pleaseeeeee, feel free to say I am wrong and lie to yourselves 🙂

  16. I started playing wow for the first time ever this month. Didn’t like retail but thanks to your guides I’m hooked on classic. I think it’s a good game but maybe a bad time to start.

  17. Other games come, GW & GW2, Aion, Warhammer, LOTRO, Conan etc, some with an unparalleled pedigree in backstory & lore, they all try to go toe to toe with WoW & invariably they all fade away though I suspect these games may sometimes affect when Blizzard will release something but WoW is still standing in a way that all those other games can only wish for, I doubt FFXIV will be any different to those other challengers.

  18. when i see ppl crying for the lack of content between patch in wow
i can't wait to see them playing the 'end game' of ffxiv.
everyone with the same gear, no crazy build, no talent to choose, simplistic rotation, small raids , no mythic mode or mythic dungeon and probably the least exciting pvp mode
seriously beside ppl living to decorate their guild house and craft some new leotard for their cat girl or potatoes it's a snoring fest.
the only thing i miss from FFXIV is how everything is visible when there is shit to avoid in a raid.

  19. To preface this, I started in beta with WoW and played solidly for 2.5 years before burning out in TBC. Came back for Cata, did some pvp and raids then quit. Came back for Pandas, did some pvp and some raids until this little game called FFXIV A Realm Reborn started making waves. I tried the "beta" for it and was INSTANTLY hooked. I quit my raid group that same week and played FFXIV for two years straight, from beta til the first expansion.

I max leveled every class, perfected my gear, had a 2 million gil mansion (if counting all the rare antiquities inside), owned every mount and pet in the game, and as luck would have it was the server first golden saucer lottery winner on Lamia (the Fenrir mount is legit). To say the least, if you let the game in, it will consume you even more than WoW ever could. I'm not at all surprised by its rise in the ranks, because they have taken the WoW model of content, patch schedules; just about anything else they could copy from WoW and perfected it.

If there is to be a change of champion, I can't think of a better game and while I quit after two years never to return: I will always look back fondly on that time with zero regrets.
