With the removal off the Junction system and buffs the Gunbreaker has risen to the top Tanking spot in PVP.

PLD is still king in CC, but i've been enjoying these changes a lot
unsure about DRK and WAR because i need to see if the newest patch fixed all the issues those two were having
DRK just didn't work correctly and WAR struggled to transition into 7.1 because of its awful mitigation
I’m glad they changed gnb in pvp bc Ive messed up my junctions too much and then died bc of it and now i can be a proper tank and do actual have access to blasting zone for damage
great work sensei. GNB is in a great spot now and with my new RDM (thanks to your guide) I'm doing great in pvp, in both FL and CC. look forward to seeing the upcoming guide so I can squeeze out a much as I can from GNB.
I love the changes, but I definitely feel squishier than before. The tank junction felt way tankier in the past since Nebular gave a crazy 30% damage reduction, but Heart of Corundum only gives 10%. I used to be able to just wreak havoc on the enemy team by myself and come out unscathed, but now I just get blown up. However, in team fights, now you can contribute more outside of your ultimate because you have the same attack power as your attack junction, but also get the shields from your previous tank junction which helps with front lining. I still think Warrior is the best tank by far right now, but Gunbreaker and Paladin are basically tied. Paladin definitely has more survivability and way more AOEs, but Gunbreaker is better at dealing more consistent damage (which is arguably better than survivability, just depends on your playstyle).
The BLM freeze into GNB LB was nasty. Loved that! GNB is my favorite tank to use, but I've been mostly on RDM lately. Despite the nerfs with the 7.11 update, I still managed a nice 8/2/23 game with 1.2 mil damage on RDM. So, it is still a powerful role in PvP.
I miss junction switching. Tank felt tankier and DPS had great burst and sustained dmg. It was already a beast in FL. The changes mostly made the class more accessible at the cost of control.

This gameplay makes me suddenly want to try GNB despite not being good with melee jobs. So good.
I wish my target switching luck was as good as this though. Mine seems to always acquire targets waaay off to the fringe that it's better to just esc and click.
blm fire LB feels so good, though I think I need to try gnb out soon, nearly killed myself hitting one last night. xD
