New FFXIV Ultimate Raid Made Me FAIL No Nut November

Xeno Reacts to the new Alliance Raid and Ultimate Raid coming to Final Fantasy 14 during Patch 7.1 – The new Alliance Raid looks amazing (hopefully its harder than previous one) and I am VERY excited for the Eden Ultimate Raid. Yoshi-P is cooking with this one.

  1. None of the fucking Alliance raids are hard and that’s the issue with them. They need to make them harder for Christ sake, just a little bit harder so that I don’t fall asleep when I do them.

  2. I don't think the LB gen change was something they thought of retrospectively for old ultimates. I think FRU had some kind of mechanic that was found in testing to be trivialized with stacked jobs. Something like BRDs being able to Esuna for example and they decided to change it now so they didn't have to "nerf" it later.

  3. As someone who played XI, yeah it's very cool. Jueno is one of XI's iconic player hubs. It's probably considered the "main" one.

This part of Jueno is Lower Jeuno. Theres 4 zones, Upper Lower and Port led to a differnt city states regional zones.

This isnt the Jueno music though, this is the music from Dynamis, which was one of the endgame systems that the shadowlord played a role in. It was alliances that you pulled stones and they spawned enemies with nasty moves if you didnt sleepga them.

Ru'Aun Gardens (The floating city with grass) for most FFXI players will be the biggest wow factor maybe Boyahda Tree. It was one of the primary zones for endgame you had to quest to access and basically you spent months there. It's one of the best zones imo ever made in FF and many know it in one word – sky.

Next alliance we may see "sea" which is basically an unbelievable zone as well depends on what they plan to do.

Prishe also on FF MMO art is incredible in 2024.

  4. Had to pause at 06:03 to type out my scathing comment regarding the bald man thinking that BLM can eat alliance tankbusters, CLEARLY not knowing that Yoshi-P is using his godmode account to show off the cool attack anims from the weeb elf girl!!! Why is the strummer always so serious and never joking?

  5. TOP is a good fun fight. Im tired of people pretending its not. People were just burned out from progging DSR and fhen TOP like right after, specially when p8s was a thing and the whole 1% HP.

  6. Dont overestimate your average player. My alliance wiped to damage for halone after we killed the spears. They didnt even heal the peopple who got hit with the aoe. We were all shocked

  7. Watch this be harder than TOP and require AM again. I'm not believing a single fucking thing Yoshi-P says. Their devs are so out of touch for so long now with how they design the game and what they chose to update. People ask for a friendslist update > nah bro we gonna give MAHJONG update. Literally the thing that nobody plays in NA and EU. Two of their most important regions and cashcows. Stuff like this. Devs don't even do their own fights besides God mode. I used to believe they do. But nah, hell nah they do not play their own game. They are completely out of sync with what the community wants and asks of them.

  8. Not thrilled about it being Dynamis music because it implies none of the raid is "real" so to speak. We need more information to really confirm that but it's definitely a personal letdown for me.

Regarding difficulty of normal content, no, normal content should be clearable without wipes. There should not be surprise "gotcha" mechanics for normal content. If normal content is for casuals, leave them alone. Extreme/Savage/Ultimate content can be as difficult as you like, but the name of the game is accessibility, and shitting on people with mechanics they cannot possibly counter without knowing about beforehand (in casual content) is garbage game design, and I'll happily die on that hill.

  9. As someone who cleared both TOP and DSR for the first time within the last 6 months, TOP is harder than DSR and it's not even close. I just cannot comprehend how people can be on the fence about which is harder. There is not a single mechanic in DSR that is even close to the difficulty of mechanics like party synergy, delta, and sigma. Not to mention that the first phase of DSR is a snoozefest that you can do with your brain mostly off (which helps with prog stamina a LOT), where as top has…. well… Looper. The only POSSIBLE exception is tanks. I know tanks have a lot to do in DSR (I didn't clear on a tank though, so I can't really comment on that). But for EVERYONE ELSE though, TOP is SIGNIFICANTLY harder than DSR.

  10. Also, I feel like most people who think TOP is a bad fight are still just salty about the bugs. Guess what? The bugs don't exist anymore. The fight is actually extremely fun and rewarding to play, and no one will ever be able to change my mind on that. It's the hardest ultimate by far, and also quite fun.

  11. Hard disagree on needing "gotcha" mechanics and that the raid should wipe at least once. It's normal content, it's designed for the lowest-skilled players to be able to clear it without too much trouble. The current system of giving a damage-down and/or vuln stack for failing mechanics is great, and I much prefer it to dying to something I didn't see and/or don't understand over and over again. Besides all of that, they have harder difficulty content to fill the need for fights that wipe raids, and the introduction of the Savage 24-man is proof of their recognition of a desire for more of it. Now, if they would make another type of content that is somewhere between Normal and Extreme difficulty (like old hard mode dungeons, except good) that scales from 4 to 24 man parties, that would be awesome…. fingers crossed that it will be in the new field operations content.

  12. Words cannot describe how much I am not looking forward to another 20 minute 1 death = wipe fight that takes far too long to prog without a competent static, and 24 player Savage that releases on Christmas Eve (it's literally Christmas day for many EU countries). I'm aware that this is an MMO and I'm in a very small minority saying this, but god I hate group content and forced interactions with other players, especially in this community. Just please let me use the shitty trusts for high-end content achievements at the cost of sacrificing the other rewards like totems etc I'm begging.

  13. I like how they went ahead and made restrictions to Ultimate LB gen but didn't do anything to fix UWU's inherently broken LB issue due to damage being too high even with syncing.
