  2. Why do people who interview others such as Naoki Yoshida, ask these pointless meaningless questions?

    How about asking:
    "Why did you delete belts"

"Where are the resources going from reducing dungeons, deleting belts, deleting carbonized matter, not adding Hrothgar and Viera hats, jobs unlocking at higher and higher levels, with less and less glamour"

"Why did you say Blue Mage was a limited job, because it would be too powerful, such as and I quote "using level 5 death on a boss" and then upon releasing the job, actions such as level 5 death, do not function on enemy bosses."

or if those are too "difficult" why not something like

"This game relies heavily on aesthetics, why haven't you implemented an expansion to the glamour plates and chest, and auto housing expansion system, that are commonplace in other MMO games?"

But sure, keep asking nonsense, memes, and questions that have already been asked a million times.

  3. I always love her, the translator, she always transfer the emotion of the sentences (laugh, pause, etc) completely perfect to other party without losing any of the meaning and the intention. By basically, she is like a Yoshi-P female ver. and EN dub. It's that good of her.

  4. I’m surprised people want that, it’s my understanding that the game is much better now than it was. That’s not the case with wow, with 6.0.2 the game became so much worse in every way, that’s why people are clamoring for classic versions of earlier expansions

  5. Hello! I was just wondering if you have the full Japanese response from Yoshida to the question you asked regarding PvP. The JP community would love to hear it.

  6. As a decades long Final Fantasy and Squaresoft / Square-Enix fan, I don’t think we can understate just how awesome it is that the father of the series Sakaguchi and someone as prolific in his own way as Matsuno who has not only left his legacy on the FF series but also on the gaming and RPG world as a whole with the Ogre series and brilliant games like Vagrant Story, are now at this stage of their careers diving into the latest installment of Final Fantasy with one getting advice from the other about how to play.

To be either of them, to have invested so much effort in so many projects over the years and to have affected so many people the world over, and now to be partaking of something they helped build in a sense, must be amazing. And to consider their journeys to this point from a fan’s point of view and to see them participating in FFXIV alongside fans like us, it just feels like how everyone always says after watching the Marvel films – this is the best timeline.

If you would have told me back in the day that this situation would eventuate, I would have thought it was so cool. And indeed, now that we are here and it’s reality, it is just that. It brings a huge smile to my face just thinking about it. I feel very lucky to have crossed paths indirectly with two people who care so very much about storytelling and crafting experiences which can be so very valuable to people that when they’re not crafting those experiences, they’re joining us in enjoying them. Wow, just wow.

  7. See it's interesting that is their insight as too why people don't like pvp.

I know alot of my fc love pvp including me. I just don't like final fantasy xiv pvp. The very structure of the game does not feel good to pvp in and doesn't feel designed for it.

I have always liked the rewards to pvp. I just didn't like how it played fundamentally. If something isn't fun I won't play it no matter how cool the rewards are. It's the reason I quit the last two relics as well.

Make pvp enjoyable and people will play it. Most don't play because its not.

The only time I can recall people forcing themselves too play pvp for rewards was the garo event.

  8. I wish there could be a way to implement 1.x content, even if it was story-only stuff. But I can understand how because of the Calamity literally changing the geography off areas, trying to recreate the playable areas would be a huge undertaking. I wonder if there could be a way to just include perhaps the cutscenes/dialogue of 1.x msq quests; and then like make it viewable through like the Unending Journey feature or something similar.

2.0 doesn't really need a "classic" server, just use New Game+ or. make a new character if you want to re-experience 2.0 stuff. Can't imagine wanting the old gameplay of 2.0 back in any meaningful form.

  9. Really appreciate the Xbox question. I’ve bought a pc to play 14, but convincing my friends to is not too promising. Really hoping it’s sooner rather than later, I’d love to introduce more of my buds to the game!

  10. Thanks very much for asking about the Xbox version, this subject is very important to me, nothing would be better than playing FFXIV on my Xbox Series X on the big tv. Too sad doesn`t sound like it will bew a thing in the near future!
